How does it adress the Serious Game Jam's topic?
»Happy Memories« is a serious game because it strengthens mental health by recalling happy stories of the players lives with the help of visual design, but also helps in building deeper connections to other players.
The ability to recall Happy Memories plays an essential role in an individuals wellbeing. When people are at their lowest they are not able to feel any joy, mainly because they are unable to remember any points in their lives when they experienced joy—they simply forgot about their happy moments. Visualization—as used in our game—and spatial memory are used in psychotherapy to help people who struggle with depression and to help summon happy memories.
