Neat game. I included it in my Games Plus Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out. :)

First impressions: nice title. shooting noise is very satisfying. simple enough concept, yet still not too easy (unless exploited, will touch upon this later). Art is nicely done and consistent, though the background maybe could have done with either more detail or paralax. Nice particle effect on enemy death.

Constructive (honest) feedback: with the set jump size, I found sometimes if you jumped at a normal time to get from platform to platform, and the next platform had a ninja on it - you could do nothing to avoid dying. I think to improve this, you could maybe show a bit more of the screen so you can tell if there is a ninja on the next platform before you jump - or have some indicator indicating when the next ninja is incoming.
I did manage to kind cheat a bit - as if you just keep shooting, your bullets will kill enemies way ahead of you making it essentially just a platform jumping game then. Perhaps limit the distance bullets can travel, or have it so ninjas jump down onto platforms when spawning - so they can only get hit when they are "active" or near to the player.

Finally - to picky - you shouldnt make you buttons look so similar to your logo. UI good practice is to make buttons look obviously clickable and that the user knows what is or is not a button on the screen.

Nice.  I managed to get 586. I think the game is really nice, and is one of the more polished games on this jam. If you wanted to improve the game, I would suggest giving the player more control over the jumps (EG: Tapping the spacebar for a smaller jump, holding for a bigger jump). That would give the game a much higher skill ceiling, as it would provide a method to avoid cheap deaths.

Otherwise, I really enjoyed this game. Well done!

cool game. i love the screen shake effect when shooting.

Nice Game. Thanks for sharing.

Adding a limited life or distance max script on the projectiles, or limiting the amount that can be shot, or having some kind of cool-down for the weapon would greatly change the game. I didn't see a ninja until I actually stopped firing. :) I just kept firing and firing because the weapon sounded cool and the mechanics were simple and fun, I just wanted to keep going.

Shoot the ninja's 2 times
