I think this is a text-based life simulator and its very successful for your first project. I have a suggestion, long texts tire people's eyes and prevent them from reading. You can research how to make short sentences that we can click to see the next one. For sure you have to learn how to clear blurry images in game engine. There was a so basic option to fix this. Keep it up & don't give up :)

I see a potential here as I like story branching. However the approach to decision making is tedious and the game seems bugged. From 3 playthroughs I ended up in an endless loop twice (was playing the fixed version).
Anyway, great job if this is your first project. I appreciate the courage to do a story-based game for a jam. I hope you will continue with game development :-)
I Like VN/choose you own adventure style of game, but unfortunatelly, this UI is pretty uncomfortable - choice can be done with one click, but now you have to wander through halls to achieve same result?
Also, sometimes left - right choices are switched (I wanted to study grafic design - left door - and get piano instead), sometimes door looped and send me to the same room again and again.
And without save or rollback option, going through every path again from start is pretty tedious.
But story looks interesting, and I would like to play it in another form (simple text adventure / IF) would be fine.
The development process of the game ended 30 minutes before deadline. We built it and uploaded it to the site in a hurry. Later, we noticed two very small points that we had overlooked. We fixed the game within 5 minutes, but we did not update it due to the rules. If you want to try the current version, the link is here;

Bounding box of charachter is a bit strange. Can't go into narrow coridor or between chairs (but can go through old man). Old man dialog window is to big and distracts. Backgroung is blurty and doesn't fit to characters with clear pixels. Intro doen't match overall style of the game. Love charachter design!

We are a new team and we all developed a game for the first time. We are more successful in coding, but we do not have a member for asset design. That's all we could do with the free assets we could find :) Thank you for trying our game.
