Really creative level design, that's something I enjoy in platformers, clever and interesting levels to walk through. The damage mechanic could have some more polishing, with a health bar or something else to give visual feedback to the player, aside from the flashing sprite. Some of the hazards are really hard to evade, but I think that seems intended, to manage the damage you take along the way. That game of 2048 is great, but really hard to get through, I had to give up on it lol

I'm really glad you think that! Designing the levels was a real headache, especially with no preview experience, but in the end, something halfway decent came out of it. As for the health system, it's true it needs improvement, I wanted to try something a bit different from the usual, but it definitely needs to give more information. Regarding the hazards, you're right, though I lacked the experience and time to place them more balanced. And 2048 definitely needs to be nerfed haha, thank you so much for the feedback!
The movement animation looks so cool, and the over all aesthetics of this platformer are quite nice as well.
you have been busy clearly. Lots of good work here. An extra hidden game at the end! Was fun and the mechanics felt refreshingly different for the movement and jump but I was able to control it well. Nicely put together
Love the concept! Movement was smooth and the general game feel was really enjoyable!
A well-polished platformer! The slow movement in the air gives a lot of control and creates a unique feel for the gameplay. Checkpoints are very generous, which makes the experience not frustrating at all (even if you're not good at platformers like me xD).
And the 2048 game at the end was definitely a surprise! I didn’t manage to reach what comes after, though.
Overall, it’s a good submission. Well done!
Love your concept. I totally considered using that type of virus as a protagonist in a game but couldn't come up with a good game loop. I totally couldn't hit 2048 in the second game and gave up after failing to reach 512 several times but I thoroughly enjoyed playing your game! I think if you polished up the virus movement and a few other things (a life bar would be nice as I couldn't tell how close I was to death except when I was flashing).
Wow, two games in one! The platforming was cool, I appreciated the fact that there were checkpoints. Including a game of 2048 at the end was a surprise! Great work!
We would have loved to achieve our goal of including the other puzzle we had planned, but at least it seems like the 2048 one was well received. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! And creating the checkpoints was definitely a good call, even if it took a bit more time, I’m glad to hear it was helpful for quite a few of you ^^
Nice platformer. Enjoyed the level design and the theme. Throwing a round of 2048 at the end was a fund surprise. I think some sort of health bar would have helped, and even the walls you couldn't walk up had a "stickiness" to them that I'm not sure was intended. Overall nice job!
I'm really glad you liked it! The idea was to alternate more puzzles between the platforming levels, but since we couldn’t reach that goal in time, we at least added one at the end. Regarding what you mentioned about being able to stick to some walls without the usual indication, that's not intentional. If you could give us a bit more detail about where happened, it would really help us in future development. Thank you so much for the feedback!
* About the health bar, it's something I gave a lot of thought to. I felt a classic bar was a bit cliché and wanted to try something a bit different, so I went for a more visual approach with the blinking and bubble system: the faster and more bubbles appear, the less health you have. It's true that it's a bit ambiguous and could use some improvement, so if you have any ideas to make it clearer, they’re more than welcome!
First, I loved the aesthetics and the colors in this game. The animations of the virus walking and jumping are adorable. It needs a bit more polish on the controls as they are a bit harsher, but that can be easily be done which would make this a overall great gaming experience.
Nice job!
The wall climbing was awesome, Character movement maybe a little slow for me but that's just me, overall good job guys the music is good and the art style looks good. Well done!
Thank you very much for the feedback! I can understand the feeling of slowness, it was partly intentional, as I wanted to simulate being in an underwater environment. However, I'm aware that, for example, the jump might feel too slow. It's something that was left pending to polish further in order to provide a better overall feel
Nice floaty alien. looks like the alien was high on weed. Also the music was just on point. And the pink visual aesthetic are unique and looks cool. BTW I have made a small puzzle game, would you like to give it a try?
Thank you so much! It's an honor coming from your team. I would have loved to make a parallax background like yours for our game, but unfortunately things got complicated :( The intention was actually to create another mini-game and have it alternate with the platforming levels, but there just wasn't enough time and we had to cut it
Yeah, I feel you. We also wanted to make a much bigger game, but it took us a long time to figure out the right idea, something we felt we could actually finish in time and still make fun to play. Sadly, we also started running out of time, so we had to drop a lot of planned stuff like enemies, the story, and fixing the parallax so it would loop properly and not look like the background was getting cut.
I’m really glad you and your team managed to release your game in time for the competition. I was already freaking out trying to finish ours 2.5 hours before the deadline. I can’t imagine what it was like finishing yours just 2 minutes before!
I am not very good at platform stuff but I think the team did a great job with this, more so as you did all custom assets
Didn't get too far but I enjoyed what I played! Great work on everything :D
I'll be honest, when i saw wall climbing mechanic i tought jumping off of it would be janky, but it feels so nice and smooth. I would love to speedrun this game like celeste :D. Also every level you introduce something new, love it . Nice job!
I really like the setting idea and the wall-climbing mechanic—it’s an interesting feature that fits the character’s look quite well. I also appreciate that you added checkpoints. If I had to critique something, it would be the font—it’s really hard to read. And to be honest, I’m not a big fan of the music either. All in all, great work!
I'm really happy that the wall mechanic was so well received :') these kinds of feedback truly make me happy. I agree that I should have used a different font for the rest of the text, it worked fine as title, but with the rush I didn’t have time to find a second one for the rest. As for the music, I’m sorry about that, our teammate is still in the learning process
Congrats on your submission! I got stuck on the 2048 game, very close to 2048, but it's been a while since I played. I had a 1024 block, a 512, 256 and 2 128, but I couldn't combine them and got locked up. But the game soft locked at that point, I couldn't do anything else and no game over screen came up.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I definitely ran out of time to implement the game over screen, it was something I had in mind, but completely slipped away due to the time constraints. However, if you ever get stuck, you can press R to restart the level. Congrats on making it so far in the final level! :)
Yeah, I know :( At first, the wall climbing mechanic was okay, but after adding more complex shapes, something went wrong, when you climb a wall on the left, it loses contact. I was trying to fix that at the last moment, but I couldn’t. As for the spikes, they’re not supposed to kill you, just deal damage and push you away, so that’s okay. Thank you so much for your feedback!
Cool idea! The wall crawling mechanic was super cool and unexpected! Very nice!!
