Great game! The retro aesthetic is very well executed and the 8-bit sound is spot on.
I used to really like Lep's World, and this reminds me exactly of it, good job.
Great little game, the SFX reminded me so much of the early Sega era games (sonic, bubble bobble, rainbow islands) so big points there from me :) great game!

What a fantastic little game! A little difficult in a good way--first game of the jam to force me to bust out an arcade stick to get through it. Cool use of the theme, neat little boss fight at the end. Also I like the King's biker helmet crown! I'm wondering what the wizard was gonna do with all that gold though. I wanted to ask him and see if it would have been wiser than what the king was doing (just sitting on it). Anyhow, great job!

This was fun, as others have said the wall jumping was a bit tricky to figure out, but overall a nice game, with story and cutscenes as well.
I think the issue with the wall jumping could be fixed by a triggered jump always going to the opposite wall other than a normal jump. This way the player can focus on playing rather than which way to jump, as the game feels reasonably fast paced and, for me at least, thinking about which way I'm going felt like it was killing the momentum.

A fun entry! The wall mechanics were a bit tricky at first but in the need I got the hang of them. Love the fact that the wizard just waltz's into the castle and takes the treasure while everyone is watching lol. Awesome stuff!
Really great fun. Nice visuals, sound and music. Difficulty is spot on. Excellent work.
It's a nice platformer, got good and stuck on that last level and almost quit but stuck with it and defeated that evil techodance Wizard. The music worked very well.
I like the story, artwork, music all match the theme really well. I did have a little trouble with the jump/wall/jump to other wall bits, could maybe be a bit of browser input lag?
Thanks for the feedback. One thing to note about wall jumping which I probably didn't make clear is you don't have to be quick with it. If you jump onto a wall the player will cling to it - if you then press SPACE without any other input the player will jump up and away from the wall. So you can navigate the wall jump chimney sections by jumping onto the first wall and repeatedly hitting SPACE to jump between walls. Thanks for playing!
Lovely art style and matching sounds and music. Really nicely polished and clearly a load of work put into the level design. Very enjoyable and satisfying to play. Congrats on a very successful game jam! would love to see the game developed further
Nice action platformer! I loved the fact that you even made cut scenes and a boss!
Two things I found a little off was:
1. The control of the knight while he is airborne. I feel like a needed more control and couldn't safely calculate landing on platforms.
2. There was a time when you have to double jump and dash while you are sliding a wall. The first time I got there I had used my double jump and couldn't make it across. (I think the double jump should refresh when you hug a wall)
All in all, great game and excellent presentation! Have a nice game jam!
I liked the gameplay. Just a heads up though. You can infinitely go up a wall if u simply wall slide a few secs jump dash into the same wall and repeat
