This was such a cool game idea! And how vast it is for this time slot was cool to see, with a team of 2! I enjoyed this one!!
Love the voiceover, love the art, just the vibe is immaculate, great entry!
This game was really fun! The beep boop talking sounds were funny! This did a great job of mixing gameplay with learning about computers!
lol, I also used human made sounds in my game, it is a really satisfying process.
I enjoyed playing this, I think you did a great job of simplifying the graphics but explaining what the parts do.
I think you know it's great by now :D As someone who used to work on a production line for PC builds, I didn't need a map!
I thought some kind of sound as you move would be good, even if it's just you quietly going b-b-b-b-b! Liked the subgames, but minor annoyance was having to switch back to mouse for some of it, but that's fine for a jam version, my game does the same! Maybe working out a better way to make it clearer what's foreground and going to block you vs. the "floor", but it doesn't take long to work out, and you had it covered with the "wander around" tutorial. Maybe having several missions on the go at the same time would be a good expansion, they would have differen runtimes, because that's the fastest DHCP renew I've ever seen! Excellent job!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate you taking the time to play and leave feedback it means a lot. I've been in the IT industry for a good while, so this project was a fun way to turn that experience into something playful and a little educational. This jam version was just a small taste, I’ve got a lot more planned! Most of the systems will be reworked and a whole lot of other features I plan to implement I’ve also been working on some art for a few other devices 👀 I’m also planning to shift things toward a jobs and rank system—where the higher your rank the more complex and interesting jobs you get.
Amazing game! The art and music are very good and the gameplay is smooth! Brilliant work!
I think this might be my favorite game in the jam, i love the assets, really nice concept. only thing i would suggest for improvement is that the text is dismissed by the player for people who are a little slower at reading.
Thanks so much that really means a lot! 😊 And yeah, great call on the text, I’m planning to change the intro so it works like the component prompts, with an “F” to continue, so players can read at their own pace. I’ve also got a bunch of ideas for a bigger version of the game that would rework a lot of the systems, so feedback like this is super helpful. Appreciate it!
Very educational and a lot of fun. I actually really enjoyed learning from this as it's a bit of a gap in my knowledge. Well done - I'm so impressed with what you've done in such a short time. I'll be coming back to this one for sure.
Very nice world you built. This is one of the games where at first I thought, okay? But then kept on playing it and had fun.
It would be nice if the text could be skipped the second time :-)
Wow! Very creative. Also love how it's teaching about components of a computer.
The piano is very cool. Some "Severance" vibe :)
Very nice, so educational! Love the presentation, the beep boop sound effects were funny, and in general it has a cozy and charming feel to it.
I do agree with the comment further down about the metal plates and how I didn't think I could walk over them at first.
But overall, great job! :)
That was a really cute spin on the insides of a computer. I’ve thought about things like that before, but it’s so nice to actually see! Great job. My only complaint is that it felt a bit slow at times, but I can imagine in a larger version there’d be upgrades or even the state of the computer could affect your speed or something.
What a neat idea! I agree with some of the other comments. This plays like a great educational game. I felt like I was learning about the computer while running the computer at the same time. I wish I had this to play a few years ago when I first got my laptop to work in Unity! Well done.
