I finally got around to checking this out because my brain wasnt working the first time I looked at it and didnt want that to lead to a lower score and im glad I waited because Woo!, I got hired lol. This was really well made, the visuals were perfect and the sound and theme of the game all went together really well. great job!

Loved it! I’ve always been a sucker for a good Critter game, and this one absolutely did not disappoint! Y’all packed a ton of cohesive personality into this project. Everything matches and works together.

We needed a section with some cats ahahah! We loved the style of the game and it seemed like a sort of investigative world that made us very curious! Nice work! ;)

Submitted(+2)

We are promised cats in the tags. I know some of the questions are about cats, but can't we get a least a visual of a cat in the game!? Or did I miss it? ;) Glad you guys included the Persometer. It is helpful and it also reminds me a bit of playing Mastermind. Nice game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Sorry about the lack of cats. They were too rebellious and refused to appear in this Empire-sanctioned game. It seems they are staging a boycott as we speak.

very unique entry - a great combination of ideas, gameplay mechanics and wonderful graphics. is the thematical idea, that the player only sees people as two-dimesional pieces of paper and with only 2 personalty dimensions? subtle but cool.
unfortunately I was fired on my third day, eventhough I felt I did good enough observations... Especially animals coming back the next day asking for another job (that they are not really suitable for) was a bit confusing.
The slowly revealing lore of the world was great though. and the desk gameplay mechanics. and the handdrawn graphics. well I'm repeating myself...

Developer

Thank you very much for your comments! Your game looks cool, but I haven't played it yet.

it's never too late :-)

Super cool game! I loved the concept and the persometer mechanic was fun to use! The story was also good and the art was great! Good job! :D

Wow the presentation is top notch, it really blew me away. One of the most unique games I've played so far. You guys did an amazing job!

Developer

Thank you! I enjoyed your game as well :)

Really impressed by the narrative you've been able to build! I love a good puzzle, getting 4 out of 5 ain't bad! Sadly no matter the jobs I gave out, I lost my own, like tears in the rain :)

Nice concept! If you're interested in playing our game, here's the link: https://astral-creation-studio.itch.io/your-princess-is-in-another-dimension

Cool idea! I like the papers please eque like games with determining the right things, combined with moral choices.
The flavor with the enemies and story questions is great.

Very nice that you got the documents looking like this. They are very readable and the setting feels like you're at a desk.

The controls are working great.

As feedback which is pretty nitpicky. I first thought the red line I got was more orangy - so I tried to guess again. But, saw that my initial guess was spot on, since now I got a much lighter orange. Maybe it's an idea to add the colors to the instruction.

But then again, after trying once you now know how it looks like.

Well done on creating and finishing a game!

Developer

Thanks for your indepth feedback! Much appreciated :)

Cool idea, very papers please esque, but definitely more interesting, might be the animal component hehe. really nice game!

Really enjoyed the art and reading through the animals answers, reminded me of papers please only this looks incredible!

Developer

Thank you so much!

Very interesting idea, loved the art!

Developer

Thanks!

I really liked the concept for the game. The art and music are really nice and go well together. The art also fits the game's story really well. I liked that there were several different questions in the personality test and not just the same questions every time. The screen was too big though and I couldn’t see the entire scene. The personality needle also stopped working at some point. Do I have a limited amount of guesses?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comments! Indeed you have a limited amount of guesses. Cheers!

Oh, that makes sense.

This game is well put together. The MDA for it creates a nice holistic experience. Not much complexity or content, but what to expect from a game jam? At least you can know that what you have done is of high quality.

Developer

Thank you!

Great concept!

I was fired! I thought 3 out of 5 would be fine for government work...

Developer(+1)

Haha I agree. But you actually got 3 out of 7. 5 is the minimum "correct" job placements. We could have worded that message more clearly.

I liked the world building in this one. Papers Please vibes, guess I'm not the only one who noticed! Good job.

I couldn't quite intuit the Persometer (should that have been animameter? 😅) . I also feel like perhaps the camera shouldn't have been able to pan; instead, I think the camera should have  been stationary and right clicking a paper should have it  fill the screen to better observe it. I love the use of animals as it relates to the theme.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback!

Big Papers Please vibes. It's got beautiful art and an interesting mechanic. I loved the writing too and the theme is present in the 2 personality metrics. Great entry!

Submitted(+1)

nicely done! Really good writing, made me chuckle more than once :)

Developer

Thank you!
