Nice work, reverse input make me crazy at first, but i must acomplished balance

Developer(+1)

Balance is key 😄

I hope you had fun!

I really liked your game

The game idea looks like dark souls.Great game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you  :)  !

I think I understood the idea of the game, and with some control polishing it could be possiblyfun platformer, but as it is, it is quite hard to control.

Also some small tutorial level on the colors changing and how you will fall through the ground if it is the same color would have helped enourmously!

Developer(+1)

I'm not looking for excuses but it's darksouls demon soul fault :).

I love the whole franchise, and I loved how the game let's you figure out everything.

I understand now that a little bit more handholding, or any would be beneficial, but for me it was still easy, I wanted to make it even harder. I didn't realize this thing, that if you make a game you become faster good at it.

Still thank you and everyone for your comments I learned a lot, I saw many wonderful creations had a very good time and enjoyed this whole GameJam

I wish everybody the best have a good life!

Hahah, yeah I get this completely! :)

Balancing is such a hard talent to master, our game had the issue as well with some people who had no experience with VS style games. I could easily beat the game, but that's why we kept it there, since making it harder is sure way to ruin the game for everyone :D Since you get so quickly good at your game. Playtesting is the best idea, if you have mates or someone who could play it and give honest feedback! :)

Nice looking game.  Hard to figure out the controls or what the objective is.  Did not see any instructions in the description, just the devs backstory.

Developer

Thank you, yeh the idea was I let the player figure it out. I'm this type of player. But after my introduction this is what  was meant to help the adventurous type

Theme:Life in 2 Dimensions

In one dimension I would tell you about this game ,how to play. I would tell you about

That light or dark without balance has no meaning,

That there is no shadow without light, and light always casts a shadow

That to be right, sometimes you have to go the other way

That time is the enemy, but with the right alignment it can be an ally

That until you get to your goal you wont be really judged

and That sometimes if you can't see where you headed ,you only need to “SHIFT” your perspective.

But in this dimension I wont. Enjoy exploring this little Game :)

Hi, I would really like to play your game but I can't quite figure out the controls - could you maybe give me some tips?  It looks so cool!

Developer(+1)

Gladly :). The camera is not controlling the cube it was meant to be a static camera but I wanted everybody to be able to find his own angle.

Shift for a 180 turn.

You can move with arrows wasd, and controller.

Space to jump double jump, and if you hug an obstacle you can jump but smaller jumps.

Be aware of the change of the cube it is not just optic, left right is mirrored in dark mode.

If you don't move the time is ticking faster , but you can change its direction whit pickups.

Purple auras are safe to stay.

You get points in the checkpoint at arrival and according the clocks position.

You are rewarded for achieving balance.

Nice game idea! It was little hard that the screen moves when I just touched the mouse and I didn't understood how to control this, but I liked the idea and maybe like a short explnation at the begining can help. Anyway, nice job!

I think you have something interesting here. I like the way you used the theme, the aesthetics, and the abstract nature of it. I didn't quite fully understand it but that made it kind of interesting to explore more of. The inverting of the controls when your cube changed really messed with me though and made it difficult to progress much.

Congrats on your first game! Keep making stuff!

I think the controls would use a bit touch, not sure if its WebGL but turning camera was very hard. Controls are not hard but I would recomend write tutorial normaly but some secret special text in revers so players that are very interested in the game have some "puzzle" to solve not everyone that just want to try the game for the first time.
Good job anyway on finishing your first game!

This is a good good interesting art style used and I really love the mechanics. Do you mind checking out my game and rate it according :)

The idea is very interesting.  I think if you give yourself more time you can make a full game out of it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your encouragement, I think I will!

after the Jam  planning to make a version 2 of this project!

Nice take on the theme!

I was not able to follow the instructions very well. I loved the look of your game. The mouse control was weird in the browser so I was struggling to get the angle set. I was not able to progress very far. It felt like you had a solid idea for a game. I wish I could have understood it a bit better. I did love the visuals and the music. It was very atmospheric. It could just be me I am not good at these type of games.

Developer(+1)

I'm still very happy you tried,it's not your fault I'm pretty sure given this is my first try for making a game I have many things to improve as it was said I played with my game for almost 10 days, what's obvious for me, it is not for others, in the future I will play test with friends and family 😄

Developer(+1)

And for the mouse my idea was, don't use it activly, I wanted first a static camera angle, but I realized the way the game builds the path, you won't see the obstacles after a short while. So I thought let the player set the angle but still have a passive camera.

That's a really cool game. Nice implementation of the theme!

Your game rocks, mate! I've given my rating. Would you mind rating my game too?

Developer

Thank You and I did :)

I really liked your puzzle game to, and the snail is cute :)

The mouse movement was not working too well in browser for me. The look and colors are great. I also like the UI, which is creative and different than others I've seen. I liked the story of your game and the story of your background. Best of luck with everything!

Developer(+1)

Thank you :)

I didnt wanted the player to use the mouse activly.i wanted them to think about their strategy the best  angle and set the camera before the attempt

Submitted

Liked the concept and the look but struggled with the controls.
A tutorial level thats easy so you can get used to whats going on when moving and jumping may well help.
Stilla good effort

Developer

Thank you for the suggestion.

I was deliberate in my attempt to be mysterious about what's going on with controls and stuff given the small scope of the game. My attempt for tutorial was that the first two levels are small and easily doable , but leaves much for exploration in the sense of what's going on whit the controls :) .

Because im still not good designing a game i thought about what little I know and was thinking the controls could be also a gameplay element.

Thank you again that you checked my game out !

Submitted

I understand with the mysterious as thats part of the game.
However I dont think the early levels were easy and doable (especially as webgl can be more sensitive)
You also have to remember you become an expert at the game during testing so what you find easy with hours of practice - others may not.
If you can, its always worth making someone new play the game, (with out telling or helping much), and watch what they do, understand, accomplish etc.
I dont play a lot of pc games so can find controls with mouse and keyboard trciky which doesnt help!
Game designing is hard and the trouble with game jams is there are 100s of other games to test so attention needs to be grabbed quickly or i move on to the next.
I will try and come back and play when I have more time

Developer

Thank you your thoughts are helpfull,

I didn't think about it that way

I will keep in mind in the future to show somebody new my game and see what's obvious to me, but it's not!
