Really cool little game :) though clicking to shoot while moving with the keyboard is not ideal, imo.
thanks :)
not really sure how else we would've done it. There are plenty of games where you move with keyboard and shoot with mouse (such as all fps games)
Idk, I think it's because I found myself using arrow keys to move, because that's the kind of game it starts out as, then having to switch to WASD midway through felt awkward. I feel like you might not need to aim, necessarily, so maybe Z or X key shoots out the front or something.
ah I see. Yeah I was expecting people to use WASD to move
Nice concept and educationnal too.
I would have liked a way to see the overall progress and know if I was close to the end or not when delivering the parts.
Thank you for the very nice comment! This is one of the changes we have implemented; but it was not ready before the deadline;
we will add a new Version once the voting period ends with some improvements and mechanics we did not have time to quite finish :)
Love the map and music. Unique concept and addicting gameplay. Great work :D
Nice and neat game good job everyone :D.
Looks beautiful and plays great. I like the controls, the movement is smooth and fits well with the world design.
Beautiful artstyle and animations and a cool concept. I just thought the controlls are not made for finer movement like dashing inbetween nervs. But once you refine those a little bit its already a pretty complete game
Very nice!
Very nice!
Love the look and, mostly, the feel of this game. The physics and animations were really beautiful and made me feel viscerally connected to the character. I had a hard time with the controls at first, though, and clicking to shoot while I was otherwise using the keyboard felt awkward. But overall, really impressive!
You managed to create a visually appealing Metroid Vania with a story in the space of one jam, very impressive. Well done to this team!
very, very nice game 👍 the atmosphere was good, the tutorial/speaker voice very nice .. graphics and animations superb :) but i struggled a bit with the controls, had hard times dashing enemies .. also the shooting was quite tricky, but thats maybe because i played with a notebook and the touchpad is probably not the best option for this :D
i hope to be able to be part of a team which make a game like this someday :) .. probably not with a 8-headed team .. don’t like humans that much :D
I can just say wow! Amazing work.
Really great game and story/narration! I can feel the work that went into it.
Wow! Feels very nice to play! And the game has very accurate immunology too! I really like that there was a game inspired by science :)
wooooow! 10/10 really beautiful game, mechanics and graphics! and nice voice ;)
Thank you, I think we both have beautiful games :)
Wow, I did not expect to see an educational game on this list! Extremely impressive and incredibly well polished! One of the better games I've played on here thus far! And I love how smooth the narrator's voice was. The fact that it was actually educational too, like you get the DNA from the enemy and suddenly as the white blood cell you can shoot back because you have the antigens! So well made, Congratulations, all of you should be proud.
Absolutely beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful!
Absolutely incredible. mind blown... great job i think this is a winner
Thank you for the very nice comment! :)
All around great game. Moving around felt smooth and great background music and voicing. I was only starting to worry about how many dna things I needed to collect since there was no counter.
We have a counter; but it was added past the deadline so it's not in the game :)
You have to collect 18 (there are 20 in total) enemy parts in order to complete the game (but there is no way of knowing how many you have turned in besides counting it yourself atm :P )
