The concept idea is really great, turning the 3D mesh to a 2D one to help navigate through the level is great, though locating these places where you squeeze yourself through was quite tough with the level environment being so similar, I think adding a place hint for level required areas is better but not for the hear areas
The heart collection addition is a great choice, they’re well-hidden and it’s satisfying to find them
Got stuck on the second level :D, I really wish finding the squeezing areas was easier, great game overall
Thank you for playing and for your indepth feedback! The way through second level is definitely more difficult to find than I realized, it needs a hefty overhaul.
I did try playing your game, but as a solo player I wasn't good enough to handle two screens at once and so I couldn't give you a proper review. :(
It’s fine, even I couldn’t test it well since I had no one to test it with :D
Yes, I forgot to mention, the camera can get really grazy if it was close to the toa wall, please fix this too
This game is very well done, and very fun to play. Great work!
Thank you very much for playing! :)
I laughed a lot when she sqeezed on the ground and the mechanics were very good I really enjoyed it
Thank you for playing, I'm glad it got you to laugh! :D
I really enjoyed this one. A cool mechanic that made it interesting to explore the levels and find unconventional hiding spots.
Also a good variety in the use of the idea (Stealth, platforming, navigating). Feels like its a got a lot of potential.
Thank you for playing! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. :D
Impressive mechanics, especiall in three forms changing. The great thing to mention is that your consideration of the using of camera, the perspective of camera for each form is thougtful, I really like that. so much fun image for gamedevtv, that's good one. Anyways, great job!
Thank you for playing! I think you're the first person to say something positive about the camera. 😅 I appreciate it!
I had fun with this game. Very cool puzzle design and some unique ideas!
Thank you, I'm very glad you had fun! :D
This fits the theme so well, great job! I love how you can squish on the X, Y, or Z axis depending on the hole, it's really clever and makes for some great puzzle design! The huge heads on the guards kind of freaked me out though :P
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you seem to have enjoyed it! :) The guards are... very noticeably different in their proportions, just assume it's all that armor they're wearing! :D
I love the concept! And also the story, never wait for a hero!
Thank you! I feel like there are a lot of stories in video games about princesses being kidnapped, but not that many about them finding a way to escape on their own.
You're right! That's why I love yours ;-)
Very cool mechanically, I did wish we had a map to display our current position in the room or a way to more easily identify cracks. I did forget where I came into one of the rooms and had to spend some time combing walls to find my way back. It was a fun and unique play!
Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I could definitely stand to get better with my level design, especially to make it clear to the player where they have and haven't been. I didn't properly consider how much my own familiarity with the levels was affecting the ability to navigate them.
I love the mechanics of this game! A very unique way of tackling the theme too! Nice submission!
Thank you very much for playing! :)
A nice cool game that follows the game jam theme well. I love the pics of the GameDev.TV guys on the walls :)
Thank you for playing! I really enjoyed
stealingborrowing art for the portraits. :DThat was a very interesting concept and very well executed! Well done.
I couldn't get past the guards on the second level though. When I jumped in the picture, he never left.
Thank you for playing! The guards 'should' eventually give up but it's possible some of the paintings aren't placed properly to hide the player from their sight. Originally I wanted guards to be able to hit the player out of paintings if they witnessed the attempt to hide, implementing that properly fell by the wayside when working on other areas, thank you for the reminding that I should go have a look at it. :)
A very cool adventure and challenge! Neat use of 2D vs 3D, I love the story, the game operates smoothly, and I love that multiple levels were made in this timeframe! Congrats, you did awesome!
Thank you very much! :)
This is so well done. Such a cool concept for a game and the switch is implemented so intuitively. The music and sound design is another portion of this game that are great, the sounds while switching dimensions just feel "right". Very well done!
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you felt the sounds turned out well, I think I lucked out when searching for them. :D
This is a great play on the theme! Unique and entertaining, well done!
Thank you for playing! :)
What a cool concept! I really enjoyed this game. Great stuff.
Thank you very much!
Nice idea. Reminds me of Link Between Worlds
Thank you for playing! :D
I didn't get lost, I just explored many times in the same direction. Nice idea.
Thank you for playing! You're never lost as long as you don't give up! :D
I loved this game. I love games that mix 2d and 3d elements already but I thought your game was pretty clever. I did have some bugginess with the mouse even in full screen mode but it wasn't unplayable. Great Work!
Thank you for playing! I'm sorry for the mouse bugs but I'm glad it was at least still playable for you.
No worries- my game has bugs too! It's after all, only a 10 day jam. AAA studios manage to launch with bugs after years long development cycles and hundreds to thousands of employees. Let's cut ourselves some slack right? hah
You do have a point. :D
Loved this game. Fun game play, nice music and interesting mechanics. Loved the framed picture humour too!
Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D
