Really cool atmosphere to this game.

The concept is cool but the game is very buggy and heavy

Having the game completely 2D without any depth in the movement would have made it much easier for the character to move to the place intended

The interactable things like stairs and ladder are also buggy and don’t always work and if they do, then it’s after multiple clicks

fixing these issues will make the game much better

Hi, thank you for that feedback!
It is indeed my next priority (as the programmer) to fix the navigation. I hope to update that within a week (also pretty busy with work).

And we also need to do lots of optimizations. Some of them should be easy and quick, some will take longer. Thank you for playing our game!

The game looks gorgeous, but I hit a bug when going into spirit mode, which triggered a menu state I couldn’t exit, and after quitting the game to retry I am unable to get it running again at all?

I am on an M1 Mac running macOS Ventura 13.3.1, if that helps!

Thanks Ed! Have you tried force quitting the game from the Apple menu? I built the Mac version on an M1 Monterey, but I’ll test it in Ventura in a few hours.

Hey Ed, I've just installed Ventura 13.4 on my M1 Max and I can't replicate the issue. If you still can't launch the game after a force quit then let me know! I suspect that in your case the game didn't properly close and there's a process still running, and therefore it stops you from launching the game again.

I really want to play this on my Windows PC but I dont know how to. I downloaded the Setup.exe and tried to run it with no avail. Even after downloading the .zip file, still no work. I would love to play this but I am confused how to do so.

Developer

Hi, zip file you downloaded is for mac users, I upload new zip for PC, you can try and see if it helps

Miss the days of the point and click genre! Nice Job on this. Really brought back some old school memories of those days! I liked the vibe of the game and it really kept me looking for things.

Developer

I'm glad you like the game :)

Cool point-and-click game. As the other comment mentioned, frames are taking a hit, but the environment and lighting are pretty. I would recommend posting a video of some gameplay, most people would skip on a .exe setup file, especially if the size is big.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I hope we can implement it all and post an update later. Maybe in a month, if we try to make it "complete"

Very cool spooky side scrolling point and click investigation puzzle game with voice acting! Point and click games should never have gone out of style. Performance was a little choppy on my PC but worth it to try this one out considering it's a genre that needs a good shake up. This may be my first game reviewed for this Jam but it is a cool idea that would work so well fleshed out into a full size narrative adventure of some sort.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I hope we will work some more on the game to polish it more, improve performances, and who knows, maybe expand it a bit so that it takes more than 90s to finish :)
