I enjoyed playing your game :). Made me think I'd like to explore developing a 2.5D platformer at some point. Level design was a bit tricky near the end ^^

I love the environment. I enjoyed how you used the assets. Jump anims were a bit buggy, only visual, gameplay mechanics was fine. I did the webgl version so maybe its just that. Headsup just in case. Great game.

For me the game starts in fullscreen and when I start playing I get a black playing field?

(Firefox on Linux)

Running a standalone build for Linux worked fine, though.

I wonder about the places where there's a signpost and a camp, are these check points?

Making the jumps felt satisfying and with the collectibles it triggered my inner completionist.

Great job for creating a nice platformer game and submitting!

Nice 3D platformer! I really liked the graphics and how the controls felt!

I really liked the backdrop. I really loved the music (very medieval bard like). The gameplay was simple but fun and (importantly) smooth for a runner/platformer type game. Good job!

Very cool! I really enjoy the aesthetics here, it looks so smooth.

Nice game man. Gratz.. My only suggest is to add jump on Up Arrow Key.. Its kinda hard to run on arrow keys and jump (Space Bar) with only 1 hand.. In this case its needed to use 2 hands..

If using 2 hands, its just easier to use WASD.

Not a bad thing, just a suggestion to improve :)

Congratz. Play my game if you can :)

Well done! Tho, i think the game might benefit from it being an endless runner and the player have to be nonstop running. But i guess the game's intention is a platformer.

Developer

Thank you! I did actually consider an endless runner in the beginning, but since I want to make one of those soon anyway I decided to try something different and challenge myself.

Nice, fun and simple. It feels nice and responsive, and the intro story really adds a lot of value.

Thank you! It's nice to know the fight I had with the controls in the beginning was worth it :D

This is a really nice game. I played for quite a bit. I would try to add some urgency to the game. Maybe something that chases you

Developer

Thank you! Yes, it was on my original list of possible features but I scaled down to finish it. If I decide to expand upon the game later, I'll definitely have a couple of chase levels!

I'm really interested in this style of game, I'll probably look at the source (have never done that before). It would be good to add some save points along the way, going back to the start felt a little harsh. Thanks for making it.

Thank you! I did put in the areas where the checkpoints would be, but I couldn't get them working in time so they're purely decorative at the moment - I would definitely like to go back and have another try at getting them working.
