So there's a platform to jump off from (and shot) and for each an enemy that "pairs" with the platform?

Each time you jump between platforms you fire your weapon.
If you jump left or right, you fire up and down.
If you jump up or down, you fire left or right.
Enemies will always hover between platforms so they can be hit. (They are just nice that way.)
There is a bug where some shots won't hit specific spots (downward jump specifically misses often).
You can still hit those enemies by moving to a new platform and performing the needed jump.
Hope that helps.
This was such a cool mechanic! I've never seen something like this before, so well done. I think maybe some more visual effects like a death effect and a hit effect would be really helpful. But I like the style of the game.
OOoo!! I Enjoyed playing this game! The shooting movement is really refreshing. Backflips and trickshots to defeat your enemies. Hahahah really fun to play XD.
Fun concept and nice visuals. The main thing that threw me off a bit was that after the enemies got stronger, I sometimes couldn't quite tell if I was hitting them with my shots and just didn't deal enough damage yet to kill them, or if I was just missing. So a flash or sound effect or something to tell me I hit them would help. Other than that, the animations and attacks for the player and the enemies worked well I thought.
Cool game. I didn't quite understand what was doing what though. When I played through it I thought I was supposed to avoid the blue things but I think collecting them gave me a power-up. And then whenever I didn't collect them and the game ended it said that enemies can take more hits. So I was just confused a bit. Making that clear I think would be helpful
Nice work on the game. I like the no fighting the controls. Clean and simple. Would be cool if you brought in more enemy times in the future. Rock on!
Pretty fun game. I like the idea of boosts after each death.
Definitely looks like with more time and variety on the boosts acquired, it could get more fun!
The camera perspective made it a bit hard to know where the enemy attacks would land or where to stand to hit the enemies with the shots. It would be nice to add a signal on the ground where the enemy attacks would land (like a red cross).
Good job!
Interesting game. I might have missed it, but it seemed the only way to move to the next level or start was to use the mouse?
Great job!
I really, really like the idea of powering up the player if they fail, and powering up the enemy if the player succeeds. Regarless of any individual player's skill, it keeps it interesting. It might be interesting to use this mechanism in all kinds of games.
If I were to give advice, it would be to maybe keep the graphics a little simpler? Some of it looks great and modern, some of it looks good but retro, and some of it is the default 3d shapes. Any of these are fine, but it might be better (and easier for you!) to choose one.
Anyway, great job!
Really nice idea mate. The gun shots correlated with the movement are a great idea! Would improve on the graphics and make it a little bit more forgiving to die, but a great idea! Congrats!
Nice Game! My favourite thing was to kill 2 enemies with one jump, when they are in opposite sides of the screen, it felt as we were so agile :-D One little thing is to also have SFX and VFX when the enemies are hit but do not die (or even a lifebar), because I didn't know if they were shot or not. Congrats for the interesting idea!
I liked the idea but it didn't shoot straight for me. and I couldn't know where the bombs are going to drop. other than that it was a good game
Good job on the game loop. I liked it overall but I wish there was some ui. And maybe a little bit more change through the game. Could be developed into a mobile game I think, I would play it for passing some time.
Hi, I noticed your submission is missing source folders. Your source is everything someone needs to download your game, open it in the game engine, and hit Play to play the game. In your case, your source is missing the Packages and ProjectSettings folders. Here is an example of what your source should look like: https://github.com/icepol/DeathIsOnlyTheBeginning
This is a fantastic game, yet it leaves me feeling unfinished. Some things need to be improved, and I'm not sure what to do with this game. The mechanics, on the other hand, are quite interesting. The animations of the robots are excellent. You guys performed an excellent job, by the way.
This is a really interesting mechanic, not sure if its original but I haven't seen it before. More UI work is needed so I can feel more like I'm progressing but this stands out as very innovative.
Great submission all around. I enjoyed playing, although it would have been nice to have an idea of which wave of enemies I was on. Good animations and smooth gameplay. Nice job!
I love it, great job guys!
Also, the music matches it really well :D
Edit: Do the bullets spawn differently/random? every few shots there's one that does not reach the targets when moving horizontally (to the right, most of the times).
Hey CS, thank you! We were a little hard on our music guy to really fit the theme of the game haha. Glad it paid off!
Yes, there are a few specific jumps where they don't always line up well. It was something we had worked out well with the earlier model but using the new one messed it up and we did not have time to fix it up.
On second thought, it is NOT a bug but a FEATURE. The player is doing flips, dodging stuff over lava. He can't be 100% accurate right? ;)
