Great Game, great aesthetics, the visuals are amazing, and the mechanics are great.
Although, maybe change the talking font? It looks off since it's not pixelated (maybe use the same font from the intro cutscene?)

I LOVE the concept of this game. I don't think the hints from the customers are eluding to well to what food they want. I just spent too much time trying to make anything to see someone pick something up. Other than the hint part, I love this game. The simple controls, the element of cooking. Even the nice random 6 key commands to successfully make it after the choices. Way to go!
Wow, such a terrific game you made! The game feel is great, the feedback, animations, graphics, SFX, music, everything! And all in a very original mechanic, I really loved it. I won without making the last recipe and got the end story, pretty nice too. Thanks, I have nothing to add, great entry!
When you were throwing out food, was it because all of your counter spots were full? Or did you not realize you could move and place food on 3 spots and spirits could take any of the 3 foods? I'm not asking like that would be your fault- I think this is the part of the game that isn't communicated well enough to players, and many people don't realize they can move around and basically have 3 guesses for the right food. So I was just curious how your experience was with this. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!
I knew I could move. The first time I didn't know that pressing space after putting out food would destroy the food, every time after that was an accident. You make some food, put it out and it gets taken away and you press space to make some more and it does get taken and you're just frantically trying to get out food that you press space instead of moving and then the food gets destroyed.
Obviously you know what all the hints say and what they mean, for me I had to read the hints, find the ones that had some relation to food, figure out what they meant, then press all the right buttons to make the food. I imagine by the end of the 10 days, you knew all the recipes by heart too!
I had another go and I managed to get to the end this time!
So much fun. Very polished looking. Its more than just a game jam demo. Well done.
Oh I really like this and want to get better at it.
Took me a while to understand, then it was good.
Adding to my "play more later" collection.
I liked this one, and it definitely improved from playing it in the middle of the jam. Well done, I like the mechanics, but I kept going back to WASD each time I played it. The ending was great, totally unexpected.
Oh, this was wonderful! The aesthetic was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the gameplay and the story of it.
Great game, the story gives me Spirited away vibes. Great submission and would love to see you expand on this one!
Played and rated. You've done an amazing submission! :)
Everything is great, visuals, sounds, animations, mechanics that play well. I have no negative points to add for this game jam. Amazing work :)
Would appreciate if you check out and rate our game as well: https://hadilepanda.itch.io/rise-of-necromancy
Awesome game. You got the art and feel right. Great work.
Really fun, great mechanics, amazing visuals and overall vibe with the audio too. difficulty ramped up over time and I was preparing all sorts of dishes in hopes that its what the souls were looking for, sadly I was more focused on recipes than dialogue and missed out on what they had to say often. lovely experience overall, this could easily be made into a full game or maybe a part of a larger game.
