Nice idea, but a bit too repetitive. The controls are a bit too slippery and I don't know if it's a bug, but being able to move the customers only once is a little annoying. I do like that all of the assets are original, you made a really good job there. And with a little more polish on the main loop you have a really good game, so keep on working hard! :)

Nice idea - you got the main game loop in, with a bit of tying up with objectives, some music and sounds and you'll have something great.

Just some thoughts: scoring, time limits, things that can do wrong (perhaps running out of embalming equipment and having to collect more from a storeroom)...

Good job :)

Really nice idea!

I really like the idea and could see myself getting obsessed about finding the most efficient way to complete all the tasks. Thanks for sharing!

This is a very good start, it's clear where you're heading with it so I hope you keep going :) I bet you've already planned to do this, but adding physics to the caskets along with the player could be a good mechanic, maybe have a damage threshold to watch out for ;)

Great usage of the theme for your game !

There is so much potential that you can build on this, either with adding cooperation or potentially adding humour voicing, etc. Simple mechanics, but very fun to play.

Well done !

a wonderfully funny idea to put a game like overcooked in a mortuary - there's plenty of room for hilarious mishaps and dark humor. the system as it is shows promise already!

one little nitpick (that I am a bit sensitive about): when you use pixel art I think it's vital that pixels are of the same size (as a general rule that can be broken of course). it was probably a time thing in your case, but maybe you never thought about it. it will make everything look so much more coherent and as if it belongs together.

I got the hang of it. Some sort of timer to score how fast you work, or maybe if the embalming station / funeral / visitation could take place in parallel - so you can move stuff around and keep the stations full to work faster would be good. In the current version you have to do everything in order so it doesn't matter too much that there are more "customers" waiting.

You're pretty much spot on what we were going towards, almost like a Tetris / overcooked juggling act.  We're hoping to come back and add to this game later on (after the rating period is over). Thank you for the comment!

Looked interesting! The controls were very 'slippery' and I wasn't able to move while carrying a coffin. This would be a great (if morbid) management game - such a novel idea!

Developer

Thank you for playing! A morbid management game with a twist is what we were going for, but we ran out of time to add the twist (and a lot of other things).
