On the web version using a PS3 controller I somehow had no chance to survive long enough to get a decent score because even when walking I constantly moved backwards a bit and couldn't get back towards the center...
At the first play I quite didn't get that gameplay started already so maybe some sort of visual clue would be in order?
In order to attempt a native build I grabbed the source and got a weird messag (I think it's just a warning) that I never encountered before on a "git clone":
Encountered 3 file(s) that should have been pointers, but weren't:
Assets/Audio/Sounds/166184__drminky__retro-coin-collect.wav
Assets/Audio/Sounds/268557__cydon__explosion-001.mp3
Assets/Textures/scenario.png
By default there are some issues with the JSON library when I run the build process in batch mode...
(It seems to me it can't decide which variant of the library to assign when running in a batch)
When I fully open the editor on the project it throws me into "Safe Mode" for exactly the same reason...
I extracted the Standalone and Windows variants of the library and the build works just fine now.
Movement performance is much better with the native version and I could actually play the game now for real... :)
To me, my Xbox compatible controller doesn't work in the WebGL version, so that it works a little for you is some kind of improvement (even if it works badly). Gamepad control works perfectly in the windows version. But I think it is something related to WebGL, and I cannot do anything about it, sorry :(
Regarding the missing files, they are in the repository. It is easy to check. I don't know what happened with them
I'm not sure why it has not imported to you correctly the JSON library, but I developed the code with 2020.3.1.f1 LTS. And using the official NewtonSoft JSON library it needs to be compiled with Net Framework 4.0... (Microsoft one is shit) so I imported the project as a new project(I updated Unity, just today), and yes, it shows me this error. I solved it by removing the JSON folder that created the library by itself. I will remove it from the git repository in some minutes.
Thx. You're the first that has checked the code (apart from my Unity teacher, whose I give it a task). Quite weird unexpected issues!!!
Ah, that could be it, my Unity 2020.3 was already 2020.3.11, so maybe they changed something about it...
As for that message, it's not exactly saying there are some files missing (and they're definitely in my checkout), but something else is weird about them. Maybe it thinks they should be links to somewhere and for some reason the real files are there?
I haven't seen a message like that until now, and I'm using git for quite a while and quite a lot at work...
Really great game! the art is awesome and gameplay is really good as well.
btw if you can play the game that I made and give me some feedback I really appreciate it :)
Really unique game and very creative, awesome artwork and the concept and design is very well done. I only really played it on easy mostly just to see more of it but I get what you were doing i just sucked at it lol. Well done. I played it tonight on my live stream and if you wanted to see a replay you can below
Oh thanks!
The fact that the game has different levels of difficulty is thanks to my wife :D
When I showed the game to her, she said: "Why so hard? Make the gold to be gold and the bombs, bombs!" and I was in mode "B-but... I have a tutorial!" She destroyed me! What a harsh feedback! :D
So, I gave it a sleep and next morning I decided to implement the difficulty levels, and after watching you playing my game, I am incredible glad of it.
Please forgive my English, I just get up!
Really fun in multiple ways! Shakespeare’s design and motions reminded me of certain Spanish comedian who passed away in recent years. If anything, some of the explosion sounds are a bit too loud compared to the rest of the audio. At least on my headphones… ugh, that kind of hurt.
Other than that, it’s really hard to find anything at fault here. You included even difficulty levels and i18n in three languages. Very impressed with your work!
Really cool and so polished! I managed 04:21 and 361 gold on normal. Once the physics gets involved with the bombs everything becomes chaotic fun.
I'm going to come back and try the higher difficulties (and learn what those Shakespeare quotes are in Spanish and Catalan..!) Great game!
Oh thx! It is great that someone apreciate my effort to make the game in more than one language :D
One of my first ideas was to dig into a theater theme or use elements from Shakespeare's plays, but then I totally abandoned that. You don't even know how glad I am that someone grabbed a similar idea. My theatrical heart is very pleased! Five for the idea and atmosphere!
One note - the tutorial should be skipable / switchable, because after the 15th time I had enough of it :D
It was an idea. But at the same time the different levels of difficulty need a remember. It is easy to forget that you're selected "very easy" after 10 attemps in very hard.
I... I am the developer of this game and sometimes I die in the tutorial XD
A nice, short infinite runner! I like how you closely stuck with the theme and blended that with the gameplay
Love that! Concept, artwork, music.. everything about it was just good!
Well done, great game, executed well!
Awesome game!
Really satisfying to pick up the coins.!
Great job!!!
Very awesome idea, I love the "staging" ;) Fits perfect to the theme, I really like the audience which even move with you xD good job!
Love this one! You created a whole mood and story. I really like the character descriptions on your main page.

Oh wow this is stiff competition. Incredible that you managed all this in 2 weeks! Bravo!
Wow what a good gameplay. You really messed with my head XD Very fun to play!
Also I like how you used the theme, literally.
very good artwork and love the Shakespeare theme and characters. Very well done.
A very nice take on the work of Shakespeare! I really like the mood and the art, good job!
Great idea to make Shakespeare jump around on a theatrical stage. I really like the game mechanics also. I got quite engaged trying to reach as far as I could. Overall, a great game experience.
Great game! Audio and character animation sets the mood just right. I also like that you implemented a simple tutorial at the start of every level. Great submission!
Very impressive! I can't see any point to improve, the game is already amazing!
Thx!!!
Great game! The moving stage and the intro part is very cool! For me a hint was missing about the movement keys - I learned it quickly the hard way :D
The character sounds were to quiet compared to the music, but maybe that is just me. Some polishing for the audio levels could be something to look at.
Overall it is awesome! Extra thumbs up for the moving crowd \o/
I can't do much about the voices: these are from me and my wife speaking English, being us Spanish... So we have our microphone limitations are our English limitations
Also some people already told me that I need you let them to query the volume... I play with my speakers and the people who use headsets have problems with the volume
Don't get me wrong, I really like that you went the extra mile to record and include voice overs. :) If you would include volume sliders for the different channels that could help mitigate the different speaker/headset "issue" indeed - but I also know that would need extra time to implement, etc. I was debating that myself and it didn't fit for my timeline also.
By the way.
How bad is my english? I need to know XD
I think your English is fairly good :) I have to say I'm also not a native speaker, but I work using English every workday. If I switch off the music I can understand you clearly. You have a bit of an accent but who doesn't, right? :)
