Well, I must say, that was quite fun!

It was a bit difficult till I realized you could bunny hop.

I did get into performance issues after 1 minute, possibly due to high number of enemies.

The sound would also start to stutter and crackle, and sometimes would just go out.

Hey, cool old school shooter! I especially liked that there is a improvement mechanic, it’s very exciting. For some reason, the game simply froze at some point, but this did not spoil the impression at all :)

I really liked the art of this retro FPS. Congrats!

really fun but starts to get laggy after a while on my end

Do you remember at what time? If I continue working on it I’ll likely end up rewriting how the crowds work.

I loved the movement mechanics and for shooting aim training it's a nice pick!

It is a FPS Vampire survivor. I like the game play, music and gun sound was good. Power up effects were also satisfying. Power up sounds were not.

I did not like start at all. This is a genre that is played multiple times. Nearly wasting 10 seconds every time is not enjoyably.

My concern is this. Only valid strategy I got was just going forward. The moment I look other directions zombies were appearing in front of me.

You also uploaded the 2 times with different names.

I hear you, thanks for playing,

My concern is this. Only valid strategy I got was just going forward. The moment I look other directions zombies were appearing in front of me.

Is your thinking here it’d be better if they only spawned behind? Or something different that helps you choose different styles of movement?

Submitted

The problem is I could not look anything else but only where I am going to survive.  Strafing  mechanics to doge things would have been better if you ask me.

If I explain better with programmer art  if you only go forward this is what happens and this is the easiest way to survive.

Fun game! I really like the music, well done! It would also be nice if you included builds for other OSs too (I had to use a virtual machine but it slightly b0rked the game). Well done <3

Developer(+1)

Well I really appreciate you still putting in the effort to make it work! Thank you so much for your time!

Good old fps. Shooting things is always fun and I can get to the level with the exploding ninjas before I get blown up. My only gripe was that the volume was super low so I had to turn it up. Good work!

Submitted

Not my usual style of game to be honest, but it's great! Really impressive! The only issue I had was that I thought the sound didn't work at first, I usually have my volume at 30 and had to set it to 80 before I could hear anything.

Developer

I didn’t realize Unity’s volume scaling was (like most) logarithmic, so it’s a lil touchy. Thanks for playing, appreciate ya!

Cool..😁 It's exciting to play.

Super cool! Always love me a good FPS. This is surprisingly well optimized too.

Nice man, I almost went with a similar concept myself, I was thinking about Vampire Survivors as an FPS. I kept the swarm aspect, but didn't end up going for ability upgrades. Are you using DOTS in this? I had great performance with easily hundreds of enemies chasing me down.

Developer

Hey thanks for playing! No DOTs was used, but I was careful with optimizations. Low cost path finding / pooling goes a long way. I thought about using DOTs, but would’ve had to ramp up on it first.
