Theme interpretation
A rover shooting aliens on the moon is an ironic 'moonshot.' The possibility of the rover surviving her predicament is a more traditional interpretation (as she's trying to achieve something generally believed to be impossible). This project was also a moonshot for me, as I have not made a shooter in Godot before and this was a very ambitious project for me.

Wow! really cool and engaging game! it would be great to be able to shoot standing still easily, at the moment it’s quite challenging, maybe though it’s part of its charm.

I managed to make an score of 38 (proof attached).

I had a lot fun! Well done!

Very different control scheme but fun nonetheless. Took me a while to figure out how I was supposed to play so perhaps include a short description when the game launches.

That was an interesting control scheme you went for. You couldn't move and shoot to kite the monsters, and the limited speed made maneuvering not trivialized by the precise movement of the mouse. You also couldn't aim with the precision of the mouse, you had to angle things with care. It was very effective at doing its job without making the game too easy and without challenge while being simple and easy to pick up and learn, very good! It just wasn't very deep, but that's the price you pay for simplicity. If I were to point out a negative, I would say that the lack of variety was the biggest, it got old very quick but I understand that this is a game jam prototype. If you added more mechanics, enemies and levels, you would have an interesting game! Good job!

Good job for your effort and submission. I like the simplicity of the game and the challenging part of the game. Some parts that could perhaps be improved:

-The addition of holding E for example to fix the angle of bullets.

-The spawning of the enemies randomly from the screen sides could be better than in the middle out of no where

-A boss addition could be fun and maybe like shooting back at you?

Overall, sadly a short game but still challengingly fun! My max score was 19 which I feel such an accomplishment :)

Nice simple concept! Should probably prevent enemies from spawning on top of you though haha

Yeah, that was a bug that I left in because I thought it made a nice little jumpscare.  Might not have been the best idea, but oh well.  xD  Thanks for playing!

Bet noone can beat my score of 23. (Part of it was luck so they didn't spawn on me)

Developer

Niiiiice!  I think that's a higher score than I ever got.  Fairly, anyway.  When I was fine tuning the code, I ended up with a glitch that made aliens splurt blood nonstop instead of die and I think I ended up with a score of 554.  I doubt that counts though.  xD

Thanks for playing my project!  I also read your comment on the thread, thanks for your review there as well!

Thanks for the feedback!  Glad to hear it works with a trackpad!

This probably has one of the most interesting control schemes I've seen. I think the draw of this game is to test your reflexes. The controls do make it hard to shoot and kite the enemies sometimes, but it does keep you engaged and on your toes. Sometimes the enemies will spawn right on you and kill you, but besides that, a fun little game.

Thanks for the review!  The "enemies spawning on you" is admittedly a bug, but I left it in because I thought it added a nice surprise challenge to the game.  Not sure if it was the best idea, but hey I'm always learning.  Again, thanks!
