Game looks awesome, and was well made. Very slow and maybe some detail could have been thrown into the games actual playable story instead of a million lines of text. Otherwise, its a solid game for what you made.
This is really great as so many people have said! A wonderful concept and implementation. Feels really polished and consistent.
The only real issue I had was that movement in the overworld felt clunky. I think it's a due to certain directional inputs having precedence over the others (whilst holding W; D and A work, but whilst holding D; W and S don't work).
Damn, this game is awesome! All aspects of it are extremely polished - the graphics & animations, music & sound effects, the intuitive controls that are reminiscent of the classic games this was based on. I'm super impressed by this game, and the level of detail that went into it.
Excelent game. I think with a little of love this could be turned into a mmorpg where you could engage another player too. Amazing job. :)
Please rate my game too: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2018/rate/337556
Very polished and full-featured entry, considering it's "only a game jam game".
It's a bit hard to get into at first and know what you should be doing, because the levels are quite big and detailed, so some direction for player would be nice, but not breaking feature and encourages exploration.
Love the little details like empty pistol sprite etc.
My top favourite of this jam.
BTW, what colour palette is that, or is it a custom one?
Custom one! Decided to aim for a grayish color palette that's (In my eyes) more fitting to the game's "grim" style :) thanks a lot! Definitely balancing the game and exploration was the hardest task during the end.
Very nice theme interpretation, graphics, musics ... well very nice everything ! One of the best game of this jam, love it.
