Theme interpretation
Blade and Hatchet is a metroidvania game that focuses on a unique character switching system. The player inhabits two characters - living weapons that can switch from human form to weapon form at will, and wield one another. Both share a general moveset, with unique quirks or details to necessitate frequent switching to clear combat encounters or navigate rooms. Additionally, each has a specific ability that is unique to them, used primarily as a vehicle for puzzle solving in specific rooms.

Great theme interpretation, the switching concept is fun and has a lot of potential for expansion!

I encountered the same bug a couple of times where I'd get stuck in the falling state/animation (I think when I fell into the corner of a wall/floor but I'm not sure).

This is really nice. I get the feeling you were going for a timing-style attack? If so it feels pretty good. I did struggle to understand that to move forward I needed to drop down at first. Once I did that, I collected a few of the power ups, but I don't really know what they did to be honest. Your description mentions 'x' to throw/recall but I couldn't figure out what that actually did.

Very nice presentation, good style, and a nice theme interpretation.

Really nice entry overall, controls feel a bit clunky and sometimes it's hard to understand when you're going to hit something. I get the "be patient when hitting" feel you're trying to achieve, but due to how minimal is the hitbox when attacking, this becomes a really hard task.

Love the art style. Controls are a bit hard to feel (e.g. how far will it jump), but maybe that's me.

Really nice visuals and great graphics like made as a perfect complete.game. loved playing it. Do check our game too 😁

Really nice visuals and great atmospheric music, although the controls seem a little unresponsive which makes the platforming hard. I like the idea of having two different health bars, when I'm at one health with the axe but need the extra jumping power it creates some tension. Nice job!
