Nice plane engine sound effects. Maybe some sounds for the guns would be enhancing the feeling of "Ah! He's shooting already and I'm still on the ground!"? I like that my plane drops if I haven't gained enough speed before take off.
Really annoying game, which with a few changes would be greatly improved. Needs to reverse the sprite when you change direction. Plane feels a bit floaty and it's difficult to take off.
Hard to control but it reminds me of an old DOS game... wings of fury... very nostalgic! Well done!
Can't seem to get off the ground, the plane stalls and refuses to accelerate again. I was able to get it to move forward once, but I'm not sure what I did.
You have to climb at a light angle, not too steep.
Can you flash some text like "Stall" when the engine kicks out, just to provide an extra clue for dense players like me? I figured that was it, so I tried nosing the plane down and accelerating with the expected, suicidal, results. In retrospect, I think I was trying to give the plane a longer time on the ground to build up speed, forcing me into a steep ascent at the end and trying to immediately recover.
I hoped the engine noise would give some feedback that you've stalled (you'll need sound on). You can recover a stall by pointing straight down. I was trying to mimic the original Amiga version which was equally tricky to takeoff.
Nice game, the computer is a spawnkiller though D:
