Nice animations (and really impressed by that head-silhouette effect). Great work!

ah those metagames you are playing and make us play them!

Jam Judge

Really adorable sprites, ingame and in the cutscenes the bunny and dragon get a lot of detail. Really nice menu screen. Liked the twist and playful approach with the gamejams theme that the run and gun approach gives you the bad ending and the pacifist run the good ending (and is also a tad more challenging and gives replay value). The dialogue at the end really added charm even if it was a bit nonsensical. :) I always like it when games use simple sounds in text bubbles to give more nuance to a character.

The gameplay/platforming has a light difficulty progression from start to finish and everything can be learned in context organically without context except for the double jump. After you enter the building with the , you get a context for the double jump. It would have been nice to have before you get to the key. The knockback after firing is a choice , that did not get in the way but may be not liked by every player. Also some enemies mix up their bullets and upon re-entering a area where you K.O.ed the dragons they are trapped in a repetitive K.O. animation (but the animation is nice :) ). The music is really simplistic.

I really enjoyed this short trip. I found lots of qualities here, especially on the animation side. :)

I definitely fell for the bad ending at first, then had lots of fun hopping around everything like a little pacifist!

Solid entry! Love the colours, the sprites, and that screenwipe!!! I'm also curious how you've done that :)

I took the advice to play on a Game Boy color, and I wasn't disappointed, it's really beautiful !!!! How do you animate scene changes with the rabbit's face in Gb Studio? With a change of tiles, or an actor? In any case, it's superbly well done and well managed, bravo!

Nice polish, great animations, fun sound effects and the screenwipe is cool. Cute game overall!

Lots of impressive visual polish for a game jam game. The transition between rooms, the bunny riding the SōdoDev logo, the mini GameBoy Showdown logo in the beginning, and the overall presentation of the discussion section. Good stuff.

i liked how smooch the movement and animations were: couple of bug notes, was able to slide into other scenes which locked me out of playing/had to reset. i wish there were more direction, though, as i did not know where to go or what to do. i did figure out there was a double jump after dying a bunch, though!

the game def has potential, and thank you so, so much for sharing it!!!

Good physics and jumping!

with more polish it can become a full game for sure. it is already pretty good.

one silly thing that bothers me: when you shoot the character turns to the oposite direction unless you are holding forward, looks weird.

Seriously amazing graphics! I liked how the recoil of your projectile complicated the jump&shoot gameplay. Give this more levels, make the music less repetitive, and it could be my new favorite home-brew Gameboy game.

This game is fun and just the right length. I liked that there was puzzles involved in the jumping. Good work on the graphics too, and I also liked that we didn’t die after being hit.

Good job! I liked those cool graphics

This was a fun little game! The bad end twist genuenly caught me by surprise. Appreciate the design decision not to kill player after being hit. Made for a fun experience!

Thanks!! Yeah, unintentional decision that stuck, I think not changing it was a good idea

This is actually pretty awesome! When I played it, it mainly seemed just like a very basic platformer, but its got enough spice to it to stay fun. Additionally, having it seem like you need to attack enemies and then throwing a surprise ending if you don't is really neat. At first, it felt a little arbitrary but I think it works.

Thanks! Wanted to give the player a little surprise...
