this was a lot of fun!! the story is great and i loved figuring out how to get into the silo.

my only notes of feedback are that
- i entirely missed the prompt to plant the bomb and headed right to the train. maybe the interaction text could be a bit larger or the "aren't you forgetting something?" text could pop up a bit sooner.
- it'd be nice if you mentioned e was for interacting -- i tired enter and space and clicking a bunch of times before thinking 'oh duh it's probably e' haha

Short and straight to the point, I really value that the game doesn't drag along or that it tries to be more "poetic"; it's refreshing to see some sabotaging action, another face of anticapitalist action. The "story about grandpa" approach was also a very nice touch and I think it can resonate with some of us that belong an age group that had grandparents that fought for better work conditions.

The feeling of the game was very nice: the graffitis outside, the nighttime sounds in the still factory, the little details in walls and buildings, everything helped create a very unique setpiece. Graphics really added to the whole experience, kudos on that!

Maybe I missed some SFX here and there and some "movement" in some areas to make the factory feel a little more organic, but overall, this was a very nice experience.

I am always pleased to see a fellow godot user! :P

I am making a wild guess but maybe you’re french too?

Anyway, I really liked the look of your game! The retro/PS1 vibe works very well. I am also amazed you managed to pull this functional 3D environment on your own in such a short period of time. I also think that the message is really cool, and actually deeper than the “blast” would suggest.

If I may, I would like to give some feedbacks and suggestions:

  • The sound design works well, however I feel like it lacks a musical background.
  • The map is well designed but also huge, and I was left wanting for more while exploring it. Maybe you could add some of the past protests? Like leaflets, posters, banners, vandalism, etc.
  • I am very used to PC gaming but I still had troubling finding that shift was enabling sprinting and that e was for interacting. Maybe you should write it somewhere?

Anyway, good job! You can be proud!

Thanks for the feedback! I am indeed French (ouin). I definitely had some time scheduling issues on my part that made it so I couldn’t put some music, add props and more environmental storytelling, etc. I’m still glad you liked it!

The map was really well designed and the graphics and ambience worked really well, too. I enjoyed the experience, and the message was interesting, with some complexity behind it. Made me long for more to experience! Good job!

I think your level design worked relatively well, I thought I was going to get a little lost once I got into the factory, but ended up going straight to the objectives. A little too short for my tastes, but does a decent job of getting the message across, and I really like the look of everything, feels like there's quite a bit of potential here.
