This game brings me back to about 8 years ago, playing these kind of dungeon crawlers on my way back from school.
As you said yourself, it is a bare bones Dungeon Crawler. However, the fog of war effect looks great. And I believe that you could make a fun game out of this project.
Looks awesome but there is not much to do.
The light effect looks very good
