What guidelines did you give yourself?
I tried to make each level roughly twice as hard as the level before it. My only difficulty requirement was that I could personally complete this game from start to finish in under 10 minutes. All works were cited, credits were placed at the end, everything is SFW, and the only warning I think is necessary is that this game can be rage-inducing.
