I love this mini game.

It can't be overstated how much content is in this zine. There is a full mission, equipment, and traits. The main course, of course, is the fishing mini game.

This mini game is not very "mini." The action itself is as simple as rolling 3D6. The depth comes in the form of the choices you make. You can reroll for a better score, but it may come to back to bite you if you summon a fish demon instead, for example.

There are almost a half dozen varient rules as well, making this mini game easily fit into any mission, in one form or another.

This has everything game players love. All gamers love points. All gamers love fish. All gamers will love FISHT.

This is great - a fun scenario, Casino Royale meets, I dunno, Stardew Valley(?),  with the promise for both schmoozing spycraft and a descent into Kill Or Be Killed survival horror action.

A fun scenario with a set of custom rules that can be modified for use in other adventures.  What's not to love?

FISHT is a supplement that adds fishing to FIST. It's got new Traits, equipment, a mission, and more.

The PDF is 12 pages, cleanly organized, and easy to read. There are some nice thematic public domain art pieces, and there's a zine-y feeling throughout.

Contents-wise, the writing here is extremely fun. Some of the new Traits are *very* strong, but there's a wild flavor baked into everything that makes it hard to advocate for toning them down. The SELKIE Trait lets you summon a team of six seals, and for this alone it's worth including in your game.

The new mission is part Spy Who Loved Me, part Bioshock, and part Lovecraft. It potentially involves a little more schmoozing and subterfuge at the outset than most other FIST missions do, but it ends with a heck of a setpiece fight and sows a lot of seeds for follow-up adventures depending on how it resolves.

The fishing minigame that's part of the scenario is also a lot of fun, with a push-your-luck mechanic that's easy to resolve. It also comes with a sub-mode, KNOCK-OUT FISHING, that adds more depth and strategy (*and* a sub-sub-mode, but that one's hidden and you'll have to find it in the text.)

The new items are solid and sensible, although the ones you can get from fishing are a little undefined. Sticking the right fish in your implanted bowl gives you hypnosis, but what hypnosis then does is up to the GN.

The last page in this supplement is a new mission generator, which is as charming and efficient as the mission generator from FIST.

Overall, FISHT is a blast. Yes, it offers fishing, and that's fun in a novel way, but it expands the entire rest of the game too. The new mission is good. The new Traits and items are good. The mission generator and aquatic worldbuilding are good. If you have FIST, you should get this. It's a stellar add-on.

Minor Issues:

-FISHBLADE might be the strongest Trait I've seen in a FIST supplement. It lets you completely nullify any single foe that has eyes. Adding a duration or a cooldown afterward might rein this in a little bit, although I kind of like the idea of FISHBLADE being wildly overpowered.

-On the flipside, SHARKJUMPER might be the best Trait I've seen in a FIST supplement. Its effect makes the game better every time it activates, and having to constantly one-up yourself keeps it in check without diminishing the fun.

A game is not truly a game until it has a fishing minigame in it.

Now FIST can truly be a game.

The minigame is well thought out and seems like it would be a blast to play. The list of marine equipment is a solid reference as well. The 4 traits are also nice, but the only crit I can provide on the content here is that I would love to see more of these. The one-page mission generator is a great example of how mission generators for FIST should work.
