  • I fell off the map on lvl 4 :'( I could not protect my balls... Cool game, audio would've been nice and the shooting was a bit off to the right, making it hard to aim. Nice entry.

Could've been a fun fps game but...

1) The player moved WAY to slowly. In my eyes, movement is always the most important thing in an fps game. The player just moved so slowly, and could only move on one axis, and all this just caused some really uninteresting and boring movement (I know that this is a jam game, just giving feedback).

2) No sound. Again, I understand the time crunch, but sound is not something to skip. I'd rather have half the levels but with sound.

3) Big a** crosshair. The crosshair was too big. When I would try to shoot at far away enemies I could barely see what I was looking at.

4) Bugged enemies. Other people have pointed this out, but when bullets collide with enemies, it makes them go flying (are your bullets triggers or colliders?)

With all my complaints out of the way, there is a lot of potential with this submission. I like the aesthetic, and turning it into an fps game was a cool idea, but there were some things that really hampered this experience for mem especially the slow and uninteresting movement.

Developer

Hi!

thank you for your honest comment!

I agree with you here the movement was slow but could you explain in more detail on what you mean by moving in one axis? all should be good but if you can tell me more it would mean a lot for when I next update the game, just to clear up some things as well you are meant to move in the direction you are facing and that is the same/opposite for ASD (left right back)

about the sound problem I will definitely keep this in mind especially because its my first jam game and I thought I didn't need to prioritize this but I appreciate you telling me this.

once again with the crosshair I totally agree with you and will have that in mind.

the enemies are doing that because I have something on them causing them to do that and I will turn that off next time.

overall I'm glad there is something you like and once again I do plan on making changes once the jam voting period ends so I hope to see you playing again then! and once again thankyou for you honest comment, I take this feedback very seriously so this will be kept in mind for when I next update!

Just to clarify, when I said one axis, I should鈥檝e said one plane (no vertical movement).

Developer (1 edit)

you should be able to move in all directions with WASD  and space bar to jump, could you send your discord so I can add you and discuss this?

Good game 馃憤

I like the mechanic of your little companions that you have to guide to the exit. Very nice. The enemys were (at least for me) very buged, so I'd say test the game and try to debug it. I also didn't like the speed of the bullets. All in all, nice game.

Developer

Hi!

I am glad you like the game! with the enemies I totally agree with you on this one the enemies do indeed have a lot of problems that do need fixing, I had originally tested the enemies and found that they was fine until last minute and I had to decide to cover it up with more enemies because the game had a lot more bugs that was making the game unplayable so I had to leave other problems behind

also what bullets did you mean? the players or the enemies?

overall I'm glad you enjoyed playing and I do apologize for the bugs you are experiencing but after the voting period ends I will be on that as I take feedback seriously so I hope you come play again soon!

thankyou for your honest comment!

This is a tricky FPS - my biggest gripe is that the balls health bars keep blocking my view while shooting! And that last level. Dude. I admit, I didn鈥檛 complete it.

It鈥檚 fun to dodge and shoot, and the neon look is just great. Sadly, no sound worked for me, not sure if it was included or broken.

An interesting mechanic that could be added later would be a Stay command for the balls - so you can leave them behind unprotected, but frees you up from the escort mission so you can deal with the enemies

Hello! Thankyou very much for your honest comment,

I agree with you here that the balls were extremely close to the player and I hope to fix that in the future .

I am very happy to know how much you like the neon looks and gameplay.

sadly I wasn't able to add sound because of the limited time had for the jam but I will definitely take your comment seriously and will have this in mind for when I update after the voting period ends!

I also really like your idea and once again I will keep this in mind.

Overall I really appreciate your honest comment and I hope next time there is an update you come and play again and leave your thoughts!

Thankyou!!
