I worked for like a month on this back last year and then got distracted (finally finished it this week)

I think I must’ve skipped the instructions when I first played, because I had no idea how to stay ahead of the wave. Speed up, duh!

“…die if you touch a skull, just like in real life” got a solid laugh out of me, too.

Fun game! I'd love to try it with a gamepad? Maybe a little too sensitive handling for me. I think the aesthetic would be a lot better if you could get the wave animation to match the resolution of the player? Lots of potential here for a simple, fun surfing game. Might make a really good mobile game? Very Rad!

This was fun, although maybe a little too speedy for me. I did better when I didn't know what I was doing than when I tried harder to do spins and such and control more carefully where I was in relation to the wave. I'd also like to be able to see the points I'm scoring as I'm scoring them. I like the art.

Cool game. Reminds me of playing the surfing mini-game from California Games on the Atari Lynx back in the day.

Developer

Thanks! California Games was great, now I'm remembering the best hacky-sack game.

Yes! That’s what it makes me think of! Though I think it was the DOS version that I played…

nice! like the art style a lot :)

the controls however are way too sensitive for me to be able to steer properly (maybe i am just bad at it :D )

Developer

Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback, think maybe I overdid the "slippyness", might look into taking it down a notch

Once I got a feel for the controls it was really fun!  Super challenging trying to stay ahead of wave!  Great job on this!  :D
