I am so glad that this document has provided me with roll tables to go with sorting out the real, lived in experiences my characters can have from being born into peasantry, middle class, or the aristocracy!
With each new roll, I feel my heart begin to palpitate at the mere thought that, due to the realism, my character could meet their untimely demise at any time, especially before becoming an adventurer. An enriching experience, to be sure - you don't want to miss out on this realism in your works of fantasy.
5/5. Would perish in misery again.
I am so glad to have this realistic background for my Troika! games.
You see, I had been longing for something that encapsulated the miserable existence that was known to peasants as they toiled and expired under the oppressive armor-clad boots of ruthless, ass-kissing knights, all in the name of some disconnected gluttonous monarch hoarding vast wealth.
With this background in my filthy mud-caked hands, I now know what awaits my fictional fate as a hungry worker, desperately clinging to my remaining teeth, remaining children, and remaining (short-lived) life.
