ODU's Monarch Institute for Game Design and Development, in conjunction with VMASC and ODU's Video Game Design Club, is pleased to announce Planet Jam, a game jam hosted in conjunction with the Fall 2023 Fantastic Planet Arts Festival. 

Participants and teams have roughly two weeks, from Monday, October 2, 2023 to Friday, October 13, 2023, to design video games that are out of this world. Finished games will be featured at the Popup Video Game Arcade on the last day of the Fantastic Planet Festival, October 15, 2023.

Theme: 

The theme is:

Blue. Yellow. Green.

and maybe a smidge of Gray.

Rules: 

1.) Individuals and teams have roughly two weeks to finish and submit their games.
2.) You can use any game engine or program to create your game.
3.) Games must be IBM compatible and playable upon submission.
4.) Games can be no larger than 1GB (the Itch.io limit).
5.) All games must by submitted through itch.io by 12:00am on Saturday, October 14, 2023. 
6.) We will showcase the games at 7pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Popup Video Game Arcade during the 2023 Fantastic Planet Festival.
