This was interesting, it was impossible not to be reminded of the thematically similar M. Night Shyamalan film of the same name. I think I found a winning ending. It was a bit of a struggle to restart the game and do it differently, due to the lack of a start again option.

Starts fairly innocently, but develops a creepy vibe as you get further in. I read it more than once and it was great to see there are different endings available. It'd be nice to have a start again or back button. (I had to run it in a private window to let the game start again which is a shame as it might discourage people from reading it a second time if they don't know to do that.) I'd also prefer a few more paragraphs as some of the text walls did get a bit hard to read.

I also found a minor bug . (It doesn't break the game though.)

Thank you, I didn't think of that. I will add that later.

I like the setting and scenario in this, and the story definitely gets creepier the further you go.

If you revise after the jam ends, you might consider breaking up the paragraphs a bit. Personally, I found it difficult to stay engaged when faced with a single wall of text from the top of the page to the bottom. A few more choices would also break up the story a bit and make it feel more interactive–but that might just be personal preference.

Overall, a good spooky game. :)

Thank you!
Yeah , I had planned to go back at the end and make it more readable, but got short on time. Will definitely fix that later!

I really enjoyed the whole isolated village trope. It gets quite scary in the end! Nice replayability with the different paths too. Congrats!
