Very well written, ironic and scary at the same time, good autosave system. Although the puzzles are very simple, the stories atmosphere is very good. Best one in Le Grand Guignol.
I enjoyed this one a lot. Nice mix of tales, and I appreciated the ironic framing.
The best thing about these stories -- the pacing. I'm not sure if I played the game or if it played me. Every action that I took worked and moved the story ahead. It's a pleasure to just do what comes naturally and have it pay off so consistently. That, and the voice telling the frame story. Really enjoyed this.
I really enjoyed the anthology aspect of this. Everything was to the point with just the right amount of build-up to get me invested. The characterization in the framing story was nice and I enjoyed my stay in-between the stories there. If anything, I would have liked one more short story to cap off the night.
Rating anthologies is trickyyyy.
I rate the foolglass story five out of eight drowned corpses. The darkness story gets one out of one cheap laughs. The baby story is two out of seven Silent Hill sequels. And Don't Dive into Blood, Kids is wolf out of wolf wolfs.
I think that adds up to four out of five stars!
(If there's something clever or spooky to do while sneaking off to pee, I wasn't clever or spooky enough to find it.)
On top of adding modules, if I were to do a Volume 2 I’d definitely add more stuff to do while sneaking off to pee.
