that was quite atmospheric! great voice acting and well written!

as others said the music was a bit loud

I love the voice acting you did for this entry! It was a kinda of shame to have it battling with the music audio, but I was still able to make out the story that was being told. The plot twist at the end was interesting. The black and white style I enjoyed, but for gameplay I wish there was more things to do. And the mechanic to see the case in new lens was a fun idea, but felt like a miss opportunity for puzzle solving. Overall it was a cool short experience!

For sure, ran into an issue with unity's audio mixer not working in webGL builds. Only had about 8 hours to work on this project so a short visual novel style of game was as good as I was going to get lol

For 8 hours, that's actually really impressive!

Interesting game, I liked the black and white visuals. I think there could be more action from the player instead of just clicking and thinking about something. Also the music is a bit louder than the voicelines so adding subtitles would help a lot.

For sure! Wanted to do more but only had about 8  total hours to work on this. Also found out the hard way that unity's audio mixer does not work with webGL builds. The music is suppose to be ducked when the talking occurs, but webGL doesn't support it I guess. Would have loved to put in subtitles. I need to find a quick way to achieve that for future projects.  Thanks for the feedback!

Great film noir type short visual novel! It's rare you see such immersive storytelling in a game jam. Visuals and sounds were spot on. Great Submission Seth!

Thanks man! My teammate Mr. Union did a great job with the music. That REALLY helped tie everything together for this project.

This is a really cool detective game! The black and white art style and the simple rooms mean I'm never lost, and I was delightfully surprised to find that everything I tried to interact with had a unique voice line! Nice twist at the end, too, and I thought it was cool how he talked in the past tense like he's recounting the story. Great detective game in such little time!

Thank you! Not gonna lie, my voice was pretty sore by the end of recording for this. Who knew a gruff detective voice was so taxing?!

(read in noir detective voice) this game is as atmospheric as a diner at 1 am on a rainy Tuesday night... in black and white. A voice growls as a figure takes a long drag on his cigarette. I think to myself, "10/10 voice acting."
