The polish and simplicity were really nice!
Overall very solid, and for a gamejam this is some super good work. :)
-D
Hey, thanks for playing!! Have fun :D
The presentation/polish was really stand out, some of the best I've ever seen from a game jam game imo, but I'm not sure I understood... the game..., maybe this is me being dense but I didn't really have a sense for what to do or why things were decaying. Also, I think the audio may have been a unfavorable choice, it seems you were going for coffee grinding, but from my speakers it came off like glitched out static.
Thanks for the feedback!
The first 5 levels were meant as a tutorial out of a planned 20-30, but I didn’t have enough time to fully develop them, which is why they might not make sense yet. The same goes for the in-game instructions (see screenshots) and sounds, which were added last minute.
As for the game itself—each level requires specific ingredients to make the coffee. But every time you move an ingredient, it starts to decay. So, you need to create the perfect coffee with limited moves before the ingredients decay too much. Hope that clears things up!
Welp I won, but I am not sure what the point of the game was >D
Completed the levels too fast to notice any ingredience decay honestly. I saw the UI bards getting lower after I moved ingredients, but they only decayed sometimes.
Well at this point, it’s more of a base to build the puzzles on since I lost track of time and had to do the levels last hour lol.
Yeah, point taken. I did add those last moment and was aiming for a coffee grinder sound. It’s a little overbearing as you said.
Cool Concepts definately.!!! Visual vice the game is pretty lovely looking, it's sleek and minimalistic I love it. I wasn't sure what to do but I did figure some stuff out by moving the ingredients. Definitely a nice game. GG bro!!
Thanks, bro!! I did add instructions post-jam in the screenshots btw :)
Very interesting take on the decay concept. Though the lack of instructions meant i sort of just finished the demo without ever failing or even knowing if it was possible to fail. It was a short event though and its evident that you put a lot of effort into the game. The idea is sound and the art is beautiful. The animations were great! Amazing submission!
Haha, yeah the 5 short levels are more of a demo of the mechanics so it’s harder to fail. I had planned 20-30 levels but oh well, maybe after the jam ends.
I did add instructions in the screenshots post-jam to explain the mechanics btw :) Again, thanks for the great feedback. I do plan to work on this down the line.
The visuals and the swiping are very pleasing! I see that it's just a demo to showcase the mechanics but with some new levels this could be a great little relaxing puzzle game!
Not to make an excuse but I ran out of time to make the levels lol. Thanks for the feedback =D
Yeah i get it I wanted to do some more levels in my game as well.
Interesting game. It feels cozy but I don't really understand what's going on.
I think it can become a very good game if you keep working on it.
Haha, thanks. I missed the deadline to work on the instructions. You can refer to the screenshots on how to play.
The game features decay bars at the top for each unique item. For example, if you need 2 units of sugar cubes, you start with 2-3 units in EACH instance. With each swipe, 1 unit decays. To win, you must add at least the required 2 units into the coffee before they decay. If the total available units fall below the required amount, you lose.
i think this is a base for some good puzzle crafting mechanic wise, i loved the animation of the blue cube decaying. tho the bg sound was confusing at first. overall, very good submission
Yes, the base is almost there. I need to get the puzzles going xD
I did those in the last hour lol so it’s far from the best I could’ve done. Thanks for playing btw!
An interesting game. Definitely fits the theme.
Overall a positive experience but with some minor gripes.
Thanks for playing!!
I lost track of time and had to do the levels, menu, and sound in the last hour lol. But thanks for pointing out the bugs. I’ll work on them post-jam!
