Great job! I agree with the other points below, the simplicity of it is great and was fun just destroying all the monsters. I also really like how you included an online leaderboards and mentioned it from the start; made me want to do even better before even starting.

The white flashing was a bit much though and did feel like I was getting hurt at first. It can get a bit overwhelming. Also remember that constant flashing in a game like that should have an epilepsy warning :)

Thank you so much!!

I will keep all that feedback in mind for the future!

I love the look and feel of this game. The sounds design is brilliant. The ambiance and atmosphere sound really good - the game feels like a nice place to be because of the sound. And the feedback from hitting enemies and all the other sound effects feel powerful and full.

The art is pretty good too, everything looks nice. Simplicity is the key there. The gameplay and combat feel very solid and tight. I like this one quite a lot!

The one feedback I'd have is I don't really see the connection to the theme. Other than that, this game is really great!

Thank you so much!! All of the feedback means so much to me!

I definitely understand how the connection to the theme isn't clear. The concept of my game is that you are trying to survive an endless night, but I didn't think about the fact that if the night never ends, it's impossible to "Survive The Night". It's more about actively surviving the night for as long as you can, rather than being able to say at the end of it "I survived the night". Which comes down to different interpretations of the theme "Survive The Night".

I liked the game! The little guy was really funny and the movement was pretty good. One of the onl;y problems I had was when you collected blood the whole screen flashed and it almost seemed like you were getting hurt. Other than that though I liked it :)

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! In the future I'll tone down those effects a bit.

I loved this. Loads of fun. For a first effort its awesome so well done. Its all a learning curve. I got a high score of 96 and didnt upload. Gutted but still loads of fun. Be great on mobile. Players movement was smooth. Well done :)

Developer

Thank you so much! It really means a lot to me to have people take the time to play something I made, especially one of my first.
Also, btw, the way I implemented the high score and leaderboard, you don't have to post right when you get the score. If you wanted to, you could load up the game, and submit your 96 score right now.

It will be  an easy port to mobile so I'll definitely do that.

I really liked this one, it was fun and had a lot of nice sounds, movement and style to it. I had the same issue with the menu but that is fine it didn't really take away from the game. Great game

Developer

Thank you! I really appreciate that feedback!

Fun game, not very challenging tho, if you get a high score the game starts freaking out. The visuals are also nice.

I really appreciate the feedback! This is my first ever game jam, and my first game I've ever made of this genre, so any feedback is super helpful. In the future I'll try making things a bit more challenging, or implement difficulty options.
