Fun little short dungeon dancer. The second dance does throw me off when I saw 2 lefts and rights.

Short but very enjoyable. The art is fantastic and the music fits perfectly, with a nice interpretation of the theme. I also like how you actually spin and move around the room during the dancing game, well done!

For all this step dancing-based crawlers why not just make one literally about step dancing indeed, these ghosts look pretty cool, thanks for sharing.

Some nice interpreation of the genre. It was actually quite interesting, but unfortunately a bit short. I liked how you gave the ghosts some personality. The minigames itself were fun. The artstyle and music is well done. It was a very enjoyable experience. :)

The art for this game is absolutely fantastic! I loved the characters and the music was perfect.

I love puzzle games and this game did not disappoint.

Great work!

Very nice! I loved the character designs, of course, but the environment itself also has a lot of charm, and the music is very apropos.

The gameplay with the second ghost was a little confusing; at least on the web build, a right arrow is the first thing to come down in the very leftmost column, and it's not clear what you're supposed to do. Still, in playing around and experimenting to try to figure that out, it felt like the mechanics have  a lot of potential for interesting puzzles? For example, figuring out what turns you need to insert into a dance to make it possible to complete all the steps without bumping into walls, or to get a ghost from one place to another.

Seems like someone wants to cut in?

Overall I enjoyed the entry a lot even though it was very brief, so I hope you're inspired to do more with the ideas!

thanks for the kind words!

i'm glad you see all the potential - we definitely had a LOT of ideas for different dance mechanics and how to mesh those into different puzzles. i spent a lot of time (probably too much for a jam lol) making the codebase flexible enough that adding new content should be fairly easy moving forward, so look forward to a more complete game in the future!

This is super cute! What a unique idea for a dungeon crawler. Great job!

SPOILERS

I was not so sure how to progress, after dancing with the woman I got stuck and the music kept overlapping with itself... Same bug than the guy under my comment.

The game looks very promising though, I love dance games in general and it's definitely a sight for sore eyes!

Developer

thanks for the kind words! there are only two ghosts currently so you've seen everything - third ghost is just a teaser!

Fun game. I liked the dancing mini games. Very innovative approach to dungeon crawling. Fantastic artwork! Very beautiful. Great characterization through dialogue. Well done!

BTW: After the second ghost, there was a black obstruction in the hallway, so I didn't know how to proceed to the third ghost. (played on the Mac build)

Developer

that's the whole game! i'll have to make it clearer in the description.

the third ghost is just supposed to be a teaser (we did actually develop a mechanic to float over pits but didn't have the time to make proper puzzles 🥲)
