Rights for the project?

Who will be allowed to upload the finished game on game platforms? It feels unfair if only the last person can upload the game. It also won’t make much sense if everyone uploads the game

I feel like the rights should go to the person who started it.

I imagine the "rights" would be split between everyone who worked on it, same as any multi-person project. At the very least everyone who worked on it should get mentioned wherever the thing ends up.

I also think worrying about "rights" before the project even makes it to day 2 is a bit presumptuous.

I agree with everything you said

Yes. Post on the game page who made it.

Ideally everybody would pick a license that dictates rights to the project. Some popular open source licenses are MIT, GPL, CC0 (search for them if you want more info).

Just add the former creators as team members... so the team grows each day, which is fine and fair.
