Welcome! This is a game jam for fan games based on the Mullinsverse (Pony Island, The Hex, and Inscryption).

This is a casual jam with no prizes and the ranking is just for fun. The point is not to win, really; just make a game of whatever size you want and see what other people make. If you don't want to commit to making anything fancy, you're still welcome to submit whatever you can come up with.

Rules:

  1. Submissions must be related to Pony Island, The Hex, and/or Inscryption in some way. They can be fan-made sequels, original games set in the Mullinsverse, adaptations of Daniel Mullins games but with some unique spin on them like multiplayer or different characters, or anything else that relates to those 3 games.
  2. Any kind of game is allowed. Regular video games are fine of course, but less traditional formats like visual novels, walking simulators, and even non-digital games such as print-and-play board games or rules for TTRPGs are okay as well.
  3. Though submissions don't have to be family-friendly by any means, games that would make most people uncomfortable or upset should not be submitted. As a general rule of thumb: if it's too far for an official Daniel Mullins game, then you should probably avoid it.
  4. Submissions must not cost money. These are fan games, after all.
  5. Though you're encouraged to work on your game during the jam, you're also welcome to submit games you've made previously as long as they follow the rules. Working on games before the jam starts is also fine, as is using existing assets.
  6. Using assets ripped from any of the 3 games is not against the rules as long as you're not making money off of your game. I asked Secundus, the community manager, and he said Daniel Mullins is unlikely to say it's not okay if no one is making money from it, though Secundus also mentioned that creating original assets is encouraged.

This game jam is not hosted or endorsed by Daniel Mullins or any members of the Daniel Mullins Games team. It's completely unofficial.
