Loved the visuals! The characters are charming and full of life, especially with their dialogue. I could see some interesting plot developments with the Prince. The dark room segment also really got me.  By the time I got to the chase sequence I was panicking to get back. Definitely my favorite part.

The book puzzle in the beginning was a little confusing. The matching part wasn't too bad, but I didn't realize I had to place a book on the desk to complete it.  I ran into the Game Over screen several times thinking I was placing the books wrong instead.

Overall, really solid demo. It covers just about everything you'd want from a game like this. Looking forward to the full game!

Played through this and thought it was pretty good! I really liked this overall but here are a few things I noticed to help improve the game.

-It seems like you are able to get the utensils again from the venus flytrap even if you got them before. I doubt this is intentional as they do not get removed from your items when you get to the kitchen area.

-There seems to be a minor softlock when helping the second doll with the missing limbs and eyes. If you do give the parts one at a time without having the other required items in your inventory in the order of Leg -> Jelly Arm -> Gingerbread Arm the doll says it has both eyes and a gingerbread arm without me even giving it the eyeballs.  I got stuck on this the first time but I save fairly often to different saves so it really wasn't a huge problem.

-In the rotten room, the bags look like they're clipping through the crates. This is really minor but just something I noticed.

I really enjoyed the M.C. and the Prince and how they interacted with each other. The puzzles were nice as well and weren't too difficult to solve. I also really enjoy how the theme of candy/sweets was used here as with everything being made out of candy, the environments ended up being really nice and colorful.

The game also managed to spook me as well with the dark room in the first area. The music and sounds in there really don't help as I wanted to be out of that room as soon as possible as it unnerved me so much. ^^'

I can see the tremendous amounts of effort put into this game like with all of the assets being custom-made and the game taking around 30 minutes to complete (at least for me it was 30 minutes)

This game is as I said is pretty good and I'll probably check it out whenever the full version comes out.

Thank you for making this game and thank you for joining the jam!

Oh gosh that softlock sounds like a big problem! Do you remember what  order you put the items in that got it to say that It had the gingerbread arm and eyes?

The order that I put them in to get the softlock was Doll Legs -> Jelly Arm -> Gingerbread Arm.
