I love it. The mechanics are fun and works well. The gameplay loop is cool and everything is consistent. This already great game has amazing potential. Keep it up!
The instructions/tutorial are such a big help for the game, This feels like an 'easy-to-play, hard-to-master' type of game which might be the cup of tea (or coffee?) for other players.
My suggestions are to adjust the screen resolution because for me, it was a bit difficult trying to see what was going on and I had to lean in, slowing down the time for strike-out and the patience for the orders. I wish this game can be added more because it's an interesting game, good job!
Thank you for playing it! It is definitely intended to be a challenging game and I'm glad the tutorial was able to help out. I realized that an in depth tutorial would be necessary for new players.
As far as the screen resolution, I'm not sure what you mean. Is the screen small when youre playing in the browser? Or is it text and or details that are too small? Whenever I boot up the game it automatically goes fullscreen. Do get back to me on that cause I'm curious if thats something i should fix for future games.
There's no problem with the graphics for me aside from making the text of the orders more larger and readable? (For reference, I have a 15'6 inch laptop if that can help)
As for the screen resolution, there wasn't a fullscreen option for me strangely even after several refreshes, but I managed to make an alternative by zooming in.
I really love the mechanics, (especially) while sailing and when serving. But without indicator on when you should sail or serve, the game feels... unfair and frustrating :D I tried to ignore the sailing part, serving alone is already hard hihih...
Maybe by adjusting the time for strike-out, or just put both task on the same screen, it might feels more doable...
Fun game still. Good luck on the Jam! :)
This game is incredibly well done. I really like how nice and precise the game is. The wheel reaching a point at which it stops moving and forces you to turn the other way to the bearing being viewable makes this game unique and so very fun. The instructions are a great help for people like me and I would certainly like to see more.
