Circuit Stream is happy to announce its first ever community wide Game Jam for fall 2023! We are challenging all of the individuals and teams from our community to build a game during the event, and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes!

This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills in game design and development, collaborate with others and have some fun! We hope you have an awesome time 😃

🟡 Join the Game Jam here. 

🟡 Join our community server here to get help from our instructors. Ask questions in our dedicated channels and also to team up with fellow students and alumni.

◆ Create a game based on our theme, "Inconvenient Superpowers!"

◆ You can submit your game individually, or as a team.

◆ You can have as many team members as possible. However, it is recommended not to exceed more than 3 members. 

◆ You are allowed to use assets from asset stores. However, using complete game project assets is not allowed. Make sure you mention the assets you used in your game, and ensure you have all the rights to them.

◆ Submit your game to itch.io page as a downloadable executable, or as a browser playable web game. Please provide instructions on how to download/play the game.

◆ Make sure that your submission is positive and provides an inclusive experience for everyone. Any submission that does not follow this will be removed from the jam.

We will be voting your games based on the following criteria.

◆ Following the game jam theme.

◆ Gameplay (the game should be something playable and has challenges, rules and a goal.)

◆ Game aesthetics and polish.

🟡 Public Voting will provide 50% to the final score

🟡 Judges will vote the next 50%

◆ Jump into our Discord Community and use the “Game Jam” channel to ask any questions related to the game jam.Use our tech-support channel for directed questions on your game when it has started.

◆ We will be hosting a series of live sessions in “☕ The Cafe” voice channel in our community. Make sure to keep in touch with our events to be updated about the live chats!

Calling all “💎 Plus pack” and “🏀 Bootcamp” learners, past and present! We are offering you a mentor to help you throughout your journey!

Once the submission period is over, we will start evaluating your games and vote for them. With a combination of your votes and votes by our judges, we will choose the top games and our final live session will feature us playing them live! You will also be invited to share your comments with the rest of the viewers. By the end of the live session, we will announce the winners of the game jam.

We value your participation and dedication towards our game jam, and we are happy to help your future aspirations! Top 3 games of our game jam will be featured in our official blog and our social media. You will also receive a session with our team members to ask any question about your career, entrepreneurship or even technical support to build your game. The number of sessions is based on the winning place. 

🏆 1st place - 3 hours of sessions.

🏆 2nd place - 2 hours of sessions.

🏆 3rd place - 1 hour session.

Winning group members will EACH earn support sessions, up to 3 people. If your group is larger than 3 members, you will need to divide the time accordingly.

Winners of the game jam will also receive a “ 🏆 GameJam Winner” discord role in our community.
