i get what you were trying to do with storytelling, it's a great idea, but the excecution is kinda lacking, my feedback would be:

-make the connection between story and playing clearer

-throwing torches is a good idea but isn't exploited that much (which is even more obvious because of the low number of levels), perhaps make it a less punitive, and add events for throwing it (some sort of rope that'd ignite with it or something like that)

also the music/sfx and player animations are nice, gg's on that

interesting for sure but there is a huge disconnect between the gameplay and story, they feel very different in tone and pace so it dragged the game down a  bit. I liked the core gameplay and the storytelling was decent but they didnt mesh together well

An interesting mechanic and haunting story. Not sure what the significance of the ending is, but it's a good reveal. Would have liked to see more coherence between gameplay and story, maybe having the historic images be the things you end up discovering at the end of each level?

Pretty interesting submition, heres some subjections on stuff to improve.

when you jump, you lose control on your ability to move, and it makes it hard to move around.

The memories and the gameplay don't really follow a theme, the memories talk about war, but the character itself looks like a miner or an explorer, and it made the parts of the game fell disconnected.

overall: pretty interesting interpretation of the theme, and the idea of moving in the dark and throwing your torch is cool, good job.
