The concept was quite interesting and made for a fun to play game! The art is also quite cohesive overall, making everything seem quite polished, especially for a jam game. Well done!
Very fun game, could not beat the BIG ONE, but overall it is a great game
I like the core game, but sadly I’m terrible at bullet hell xD Cool menu!
Interesting concept! Strategy and bullet hell is an unexpected, but quite welcome combination. Only a few nitpicks:
- The rotating tower felt leagues behind the 4-way shooting one in terms of reliability. It rotates fairly slowly, and each subsequent shot flies at a wider angle from the last, which makes it very hard to hit and deal sufficient damage to enemies that aren't sitting on top of it.
- The mine's lack of arming visuals/sound made it a bit confusing on when it's going to be fully armed. At first I thought it's active from the moment of being built.
- While the game is fairly easy overall, the boss really felt too trivial because its weakpoints are always in the same spot. Just place the four 4-ways, 2 for each weakpoint, right next to it and it only takes 2 phases to beat. The phase is also a static one and repeats itself, though I did read from another comment that it's due to a bug.
Overall - while I think the game's theme implementation is a bit stretched, it's still a solid submission with a pretty unique concept. Congrats on finishing the jam! ^^
Very involved and thought out, especially given it's a jam entry!
I think I did more damage to myself than the enemies did, haha!
Very cool idea, very good execution! Leaves a lot of room for creative ideas and room designs. Definitely feels like something that should be expanded upon!
The overall feel is stunning and the gameplay allows for a lot of creativity. My only suggestion would be to change the point direction for the bubbles in the tutorial so that the player has a better grasp on what is being said.
Cool game and cute tutorial ^^
That was fun, I like the idea of having to avoid the turrets you set yourself, and this bossfight was cool enough, although I think its bullet pattern could have changed halfway through its life.
Cool, interesting game, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing! I actually made whoopsie and left the boss on phase 3 instead of resetting it to phase 1 following some debugging I was doing.
I did not expect a literal build-a-bullet-hell lol. That is such a cool combination of tower defense and bullet hell I love it. It also incorporates the theme of the jam by having limited number of each type of towers to use. Great job!
Very cool game, I think it incorporated the Jam theme well. The art, controls, and sounds are pretty cool. The tutorial at the beginning helps a lot to understand the game.
Really enjoyed the game. Love the art style and the mix of tower defence and bullet hell. I did find the final level was a lot harder than the previous levels and also I got really confused by the hearts, I thought they were a health kit and that I could pick them up because they were the same colour as the coins.
Very fun game and interesting concept! Also good art sytle and good sounds :)
What a fun and inventive twist on bullet hells and tower defence games. The music was a vibe all on it's own but I really enjoyed the way the information came across through the narration of the round mustache man. I was engaged in the gameplay and felt enough challenge within to make winning each round rewarding.
It's an interesting game with some potential. Little story is fun. If invest more time, the game can be even better. I really recommend watch some video about "invisible tutorial". Half of the dialog about mechanics, and I don't thick it's right. It's not really hard mechanics, just give players to try it by himself.
But very good game. Keep it up.
Amazing just amazing
Amazing Just Amazing
Love the concept and really fits the theme. Clean artstyle. I bookmarked this one to play some more later!
Cool idea with potential. A bit glitchy as the rotating turret sprite doesn't really match up with the shot direction, and I died with some hp remaining (timer hadn't run out either), but overall not a bad demo. An advice I'd give is to make the turret shots move slower as they're a little hard to dodge (and see).
Really cool idea and nice implementation. Had a couple times enemies would spawn right on top of me between waves otherwise really nice!
