this is a really fun seed of a game! I like the character/world idea and I think there's so much material that you can add to this concept. The art is great as well. I hope you keep working on this idea because I want to see what other fun marshmallowy concepts you can bring in! Like maybe when you get hit once you have a "golden toasted" shield that protects you for a future hit, but then if you get hit again you'll catch fire and die :( Haha, anyway--fun cute beginnings , nice work. :)

Such a sweet vibe to this. Very impressive you learned something new and did this on your own, good job! I can see it develop into something more, and I'm actually really glad it doesn't involve any fighting. Thank you for the experience!

Me gustó mucho, el personaje parece sacado de cartoon network y creo que tiene mucho potencial <3

I liked it a lot, the character looks 'cartoon networky' and I think he has a lot of potential <3

this lil game is so cool and impressive. I would love to see it expanded! the art is so cute and the music slaps :)

one thing to note, i got hit by the first wisp and didn't die. do i have to be singed multiple times to die? i'm trying to remember if there was a health bar

Developer

I'm so happy you liked it!

Yes our little guy has 2 lives but I didn't manage to set up the health bar... I'm really at the very beginning of learning Godot :)

Hiya! For your first game, this is super cool! I can imagine something great being built from this later down the line. Extra enemies would be nice, and if you made this a full game, some defensive moves for our MC would be hella cool. 3/5!

Congrats on your first jam! The visuals look fantastic and the controls were smooth. I only wish it were a bit longer so you could hear more of the music and enjoy the scenery a bit more before the game ended!

Developer

thank you so much for the compliments! Good point, I have basic building blocks so shouldn't be too hard to stretch it a bit ;) Next time!

Jam is good, and by the same logic: More jams are more gooder. ;-)
So keep at it, learn, grow, team up with strangers and have as much fun as humanly possible. :-)

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep at it 🦾

Congrats on your first jam! The presentation is awesome, great characters and animations. There isn't a whole lot to do in terms of gameplay but what's there works. Keep on making games!

Developer

Thank you so much 😊

I don't think I need to say much, you learned, that was the goal, art is really good, code and gameplay is lacking, I'd say its a good starting point, get yourself a teammate and you'll learn faster if its beginning of your gamedev journey

Thanks for the honest feedback and words of encouragement, I really appreciate it :)
