This is a nice runner game, its music is nice and it works really well, I like how the theme was used. This is good.

I initially avoided the peppers for fear of heartburn. Played until 10K points though. My eyes are bugging out!

Nice job for a first jam game! I like how the challenge increases by moving more ahead, giving you less time to react to oncoming stuff. Once you game over it immediately cuts to the starting screen, maybe some score display to show what you achieved at this point would be better.

Nice! Making the road and items move at the same speed will make it feel more like you're running on an actual road. That'll also make it feel more static, but some shadows (a.k.a. black circles) and a little bit of bouncy squish will take care of that.
