Thanks for all the kind comments and feedback everyone! I updated the release, adding a checkpoint system and tweaking the difficulty a bit.
Nice and clear graphics! I died a lot, so I had to sit through the UFO-scene a lot, though I like the original ways the game played out, going faster, backwards and so on, which were some great ideas!
Fun little game, Cannabalt meets Flappy Birds ;)
Very nice game. I like the minimalist style graphics and nice color pallet. I wish the UFO eye thing was faster as I died 20 times on the first try and had to wait for that to come down. Very repayable game. Well done!

@Kyyrypyy Thanks, you're absolutely right about checkpoints. I didn't include them because I expected it to take too much time to implement.
The minimalistic artstyle works nicely, and the concept of the game is good. For feedback I'd say that since I feel the game is designed to be restarted, it could be a good idea to have a "checkpoint" after the first phase that feels like a cutscene, so that restarting would bring the player straight back to the action.
Always love to see pico-8. Great game, lots of time can be spent on this one!

Love this one! Great idea based on the theme, love the art (who doesn't love a bunch of well placed fat pixels????). Could use some background music and alien coming down sounds, but this is a great showing for 48hrs, nice job!
@merlin4 Oh, wow, that flashing is actually a really clever way to go fast and warn for incoming obstacles on a small screen.
