It's the spooky time of the year. But horror vibes are so last year. And what better way to mix it up than cute horror games! Develop a cute horror game over over the weekend and try to incorporate the contradicting dualities of this jam into your game.

There is a theme to be announced on the beginning of the game jam but it is optional to follow the theme.

As a ranked game jam, the submitters will be ranking each other for the spookiest games ever!

GJ+ Brunei is a collaborative game jam "marathon" where focused on inspiring and promote the creative economy with new games and companies. It will be a publicly-voted ranking jam to develop a game over a weekend!

WHO CAN JOIN?

Anyone can join - Solo or teams! We recommend keeping teams small for your sanity's sake, around 4 is good.

WHAT CAN I USE TO MAKE MY GAME?

Any engine is welcome!

WHAT ASSETS CAN I USE?

Assets that you can legally use. Pre-made assets are welcome, but in the spirit on the jam, please keep most, if not all, development within the jam duration.

WHAT IS THE JUDGING CRITERIA?

1. FUN FACTOR - A game needs to be fun, that is its purpose. It is the combination of all game design choices.
2. PRESENTATION - A well presented game can be done in unique stylisation, cohesive music or all of the above. It also relates to how it presents itself as a cute spooky game!
3. CREATIVITY - A creative game either interprets the theme in an innovative way, breaks traditional gaming norms or in other ways deemed creative.
4. OVERALL - The whole can be more than the sum of its parts.
