How does your game fit the theme?
When you die. you respawn as a random person, where you can change your life for better or for worse. so the end (dying) is a new beginning
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
all the art was done by me and i got a little assistance on the code

For a weeks' worth of work, you got a great foundation for a game. Menus, gameplay, art all there.
I didn't have any issues playing, only what I believe was a small bug where befriended characters would go to where I spawned in when I died as though they all wanted to pay respects to their dead idol, which I thought was kind of funny.
I think maybe the game needed a couple more consequences for the player's actions. As an example, maybe killing NPCs spawns in police to stop you, then when you die, they could stay around and make it harder for you to go on another killing spree but if you start befriending people, that makes them less on edge until they disappear completely.
It was just a thought but hopefully it helps.
Love what you've got so far either way.
Hey! Thank you for the feedback! the one where the befriended NPCs go to the spawn position of the player was something that I couldn't fix in time. but. when you said they wanted to pay respects to their dead idol. that gave me an idea. instead of spawning the player back to the spawn point, it would spawn a gravestone on where he once stood and the followers can stand there paying respects. thank you for giving me that idea! if you saw my reply under N3cro0oDev's comment, I said that I was planning on adding a police mechanic etc. although what you said about the police staying around is a good idea I might make some changes to it such as having idle police in the map normally (for the player to know there is the police). but at the start, you would need to kill let's say 2 to get the police, and every time you die doing something bad, you would only need to kill one to get the police. I imagine it is a little hard so it may or may not work. but ill try!
thank you for playing my game and thanks for the feedback!
No worries. I'm glad my comment has inspired you. I actually hadn't seen your comment, but it's good to know you already had something planned for it. Whether you plan to continue or not, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for future games of yours.
Fun to mess around and decide about your very short life. I have some ideas how to improve your game. I think this will help you with your next project:
I like how you managed music and sounds but Grenade Launcher's explosions are pretty loud.
Good work, next time try to maybe playtest your game more and ask somebody else what could be added or changed.
Thanks for the feedback! I do plan on fixing the game later (no promises, however).
The whole AI needs to be fixed up really. as when they are wandering, they often walk through each other and don't avoid one another. I did plan on having a lot more things such as a police mechanic and panicked NPCs. another thing that was annoying but didn't know to fix was the NPC movement. I'm not sure if you've heard of A* Pathfinding but it saved my project as the NPC roam about. the only problem that isn't too problematic is that the NPCs don't go up and down? sure they go passed objects by going under or over them but they don't go walking up and down the map normally (if that makes sense).
another important feature I was going to add was a money system. you weren't meant to have the SMG and Grenade launcher at the start, when you gave someone flowers or kill someone, they would give or drop money for you to pick up and go to one of the vending machines and buy guns there (sounds silly I know but I think it fits). but I didn't have time for the money mechanic and I wanted to have those guns to use.
I like the idea of the different endings... maybe if you are a pacifist you get better flowers or upgrades and if you are postal, you get this and that, and so on.
the respawning was yet another thing that I wanted to fix but didn't have time for. I was going to make it so it looked like your soul was being sucked into another NPC at a random location on the map but the deadline was creeping up on me so I had to do something.
I plan on making a post to address these issues and hopefully, make an update for the game and maybe even a WebGL build for it so you don't need to download it. so if you liked the game, you can stick around and see what I do with the project in the future.
Thanks.
good game
check mine too
Nice simplistic graphic and soundtrack, don forget check out mine as well tq
Cool endless game. I appreciated the tutorial. Something weird happened where the gun got stuck firing (might have been my keyboard though). A little disappointed I couldn't give flowers to the companion cube. I could also see the camera moving back to the start when the game teleported the player back after death (as well as the bullets). The graphics were simple and the music matched the gameplay, though.
Fun to try the different ways of living..
Very simplistic and smooth movement. Cute little soundtrack, has a few little nods to other games here and there.

Cons:
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! I guess you could say the end goal is what you make it? Do whatever you want! The AI was something i was aware of but couldn't fix it in time. However, this is my first time hearing about the loud death sound effect. maybe your system was too loud? But thank you for the feedback!
Fun and quick little game good work!
I especially enjoyed the easter eggs around the map!
Hey, so me and some other guys are making a 3D indie horror game and since you have skills in 3D modeling, I wanted to know if you could help with the modeling.
Actualy realy fun game. I started a cult of people that followed me all around the city, Then I exploded and proceded to shoot everyone. This all happned in the span of 2 minutes. But like it was a fun game and the music and art was very nice.
Amazing game. Keep it up♥
Sounds about right :D
Nice background music and goofiness in forming a harem through flowers!
Cute game!! Giving flower to others makes my heart warm. I wish it would be more better if there's more contents
+)I've got some bug : trees are upper than character sprites, and lovers didn't move around when I dead.
I liked your take on the theme, the fact that you're free to kill or love opens up some interesting ethics. Great attention to details musics and gun feel, well done !
Giving random weapons when switching lifes could be a great addition !
Cool. This is game that needs some kind of achievement system. "Befriend and than sacrifice 10 dudes with yellow shirt" for example. For me it isnt that fun on its own.
I felt satisfied while shooting these people. Definetly fun to play
Nice game! It was great to play
I think it would be good to add more challenge, like an enemy or something like that
Very satisfying process of killing those people. Ill recommend to add more levels and purpose for game.
I had fun gathering a mass of people and enjoyed the little easter eggs in the town! I wasn't quite sure what I was attempting to accomplish in the game, but it was interesting none the less!
I like the idea and sound effects! The game is working perfectly and is well organized!
Love the sfx and the music, really fun to play honestly
Surprisingly polished. I liked that you have a tutorial and a way to skip it as well. I was sad you couldn't befriend the Companion Cube. Also I did get the crowbar reference *wink wink*
I found a bug where after your first respawn if you befriend people some of them will navigate the to spawnpoint instead of the player.
Hi! I’m glad you liked the game! I was aware of the bug you are speaking of as it was fine at some point in the game but got messed up by something else before then and release. It completely crossed my mind to make the companion cube your friend! Maybe when Unity starts being nice to me I can make a web build and maybe make it so you can pick up the crowbar and befriend the cube. But nothings for certain. My question is did you find the other references?
(EDIT)
as it turns out. i cant add a WEBGL (Play in browser) version to my page... so it does suck but for people reading this. you will need to download... sorry...
To be honest I was focusing on giving flowers to as many people as possible before my time ran out. Those two just happened to catch my eye :D I need to have another look!
