How does your game fit the theme?
Once you think you've reached the end, the Labyrith will regenerate. What once was the end, is now the beginning.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all the art assets myself, the music and sounds are royalty free, and all the critical pieces of code were written by me.

Love this, simple, straight forward, nice graphics.

I also love how the perfect Pathfinder of the minatour kinda gives you hint where the most direct path trough the labirinth lays, but as he is of course talking that path, you have to avoid it at the same time :D.

Great stuff, so simple, but good!

Really cool idea and really good execution.  Very fun and frustrating!  Love it.  Great job!

It's nice to see other things than action and platformer games ! Good job with the procedural maze.

Whoa, that's actually weirdly nostalgic for me, I love mazes. Honestly probably what got me into game dev was originally drawing out puzzles like mazes and stuff. Felt very smooth and it's really cool how you made it procedural.

Nice, I do love a maze game - genuine tension when the minotaur was on my tail.

What an amazing experience!! I loved how the levels changed every time you died, which add to that tension of not knowing where to go and seeing the enemies get closer everytime. One thing that I appreciate immensly in a game is that it delivers the emotions that the game intends to give to the player, and yours delivers it perefectly! Even if it is a simple approach on the design (maze) of the levels, that is precisally why it creates the perfect scenario for creating that tension and fear of not wanting to be catched and seeing the enemy get closer every step of the way; plus the music is a perfect addition to add even more to those emotions. Overall a very well designed game, and a truly enjoyable experience!! Amazing job!

Lovely game.  Adding enemies to the maze changed everything.  It was neat searching for a loop that you could use to circle around and get out in front of the pursuing enemies.  Also you needed to be careful to not mess up and give away precious distance between you and that one guy right at your heels.  The music and sound effect at the maze transitions fit the game perfectly.  On target for jam theme.

Excellent submission.

I really like the game, it was fun and relaxing to play!

Really cool game, most of the games I’ve played are action based, so it was nice taking a break from that for a puzzle. Love the music

Takes me back to drawing mazes of graph paper. Cool little game with lots of depth and strategy!

That was the inspiration. I used to love drawing and solving mazes too. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow, you made procedural generation for this game, cool! I once tried to do so, and it was difficult

Developer(+1)

I use a algorithm called recursive backtracker. There are some videos on it that could explain it better than me. Then once the algorithm is complete, I remove random walls so that there are multiple ways of completing the level.

What you have done for optimisation?

Developer

"premature optimization is the root of all evil" - Donald Knuth. So nothing really. I'll post the github in the description, if you want to check it out, and can understand gdscript.

Developer

There's nothing that really needed to be optimised anyway. The algorithm is really fast.

Cool game. I really like the concept :). The only feedback I can think of is that it would be cool to maybe have a counter for the number of steps you take so you can challenge yourself to beat the maze as fast as possible. Great work! :)

Loved watching the maze generate

Really fun little maze puzzle game. Was fun to try to avoid the enemies and all of their different pathings as more and more of them spawned in the labyrinth. The music worked really well to compliment the gameplay and build up tension. The game never really felt unfair since you could plan out routes ahead of time and there was always multiple ways to get to the goal if one got blocked off (+you could herd enemies together so they dont block off different paths). Managed to get to where it stopped spawning more enemies at 2 minotaurs before I died

Great concept, this game makes you think a few steps ahead! well executed

Lovely game! Felt quite hard after 2 levels, but I like how the movement is smooth between positions and the change that additional enemies bring into the game!
