The mechanic of the game which is to sacrifice a cultist for the other fellow cultist is a neat representation of "an end is a new beggining"
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, but the code were helped from some tutorial a bit

Nice job, perfect game for the theme .
Cool game! I've seen a few games with the same concept but limiting the player to only die "x" amount of times is really clever and makes or a great puzzle platformer. The only advice I have is that the "next boxes" thing could have been a bit clearer. Other than that great work!
Very unique take on the puzzle. I really like how you incorporate the players death with solving the puzzles, it really fits the games theme. I also LOVE your art style its so nice and minimalistic but also vibrant at the same time. Also the music adds so much depth and atmosphere to your game. Great work!

Nice idea and game. The difficulty of it kinda ruins the idea of sacrifising yourself to me, as you easily can die on accident. Polish, and additional game features could also be needed.

A cool take on the "you die you become a box" trope, now you need to think a bit on when you should sacrifice. But it's just WHY ? The guide for the next boxes are almost unoticable and it's way too easy to die by accident.
Fun concept with cultists. It suits the theme so much! I enjoyed the game however, just like someone from the comments below I didn't noticed the sprite with upcoming boxes. It should stand out more, otherwise it can be frustrating.
Love the palette choice, pixel art is really good, although it could use some animations. You could also put the number of cultists left and perfect controls :)
I like that idea at the first i decided to do something like that but i canceled it and got a new idea😆

Ok, this is a REALLY COOL idea! nice visuals also. I really love the concept One thing I would say is probably to put the amount of tries the player has on the screen. I got it fairly quickly, but it might add to the anxiety factor! In addition there can be other stages with more chances.
There were also times where I got really stuck and couldn't move forward :(

Very cool idea and nice visuals. The music is a bit repetetive and boring but great aesthetics. The game window is a bit small with no option to go full screen so it's hard to concentrate especially on a larger monitor. The controls could've done with some refining, as it's very hard to control the player precisely. Great game!

I'm not sure what was going on, but the input lag made it quite frustrating to play,
It took me a while to figure out the "pieces" that were being spawned for each of the cultists death. At first I thought it was just random. It would nice to highlight where on the "spawn map" I am at any given time.

Quite interesting idea, although simple but can be explored and extended in a bunch of ways :)
One thing I disliked: the screen is too small. It couild be the double so that it would be easier to play.

Cool game with interesting puzzles. The pixel art was well done. Nice job.
The pixel art here is really well made. Level transition was also a nice piece of polish. Level 7 can be cheesed by walking on the bottom route.
The puzzles were good. And the fact that different cultists can drop different "boxes" was really nice for the puzzles. It looks very polished with the scene transitions and the gorgeous art.

Really nice puzzle game. Taking the idea of deaths allowing your future self to progress but also adding in the element of there being a queue of different shaped boxes that appear. The screen transitions were extremely smooth and the box queue lead to some nice puzzles. One thing is it took a bit for me to notice that it says what the next boxes will be in the top right. They blend into the background a bit since they're static so if you continue post jam you can add some little movements to that zone to draw peoples attention. Overall really well made game though
